Go to BBV, you obviously have no concept of BRM

I'm looking to start fresh and work on my cash game tremendously in the upcoming months. I recently blew my roll out of pure boredom basically, but I'm looking to start again from step one.

My question is where to start? My first idea was to deposit $300 on Full Tilt, sign up for rakeback, and start my grind at 10NL making my way up. My only concern is the rake. How bad is it?

Is this a good idea or am I better off depositing $300 on Stars and moving my roll over when it hits $700 or so.
10-20-2008 , 06:47 PM
I think the latter. I myself am going to do that (be able to beat 25NL on Stars, move $600 to FTP w/ rakeback) if I ever get to $1000 that is
10-20-2008 , 11:25 PM
Today was almost really crappy, with a constant barrage of 3 outters... 2 outters..and one really stupid misclick on my part. Fortunately I shipped a $4.40 to brighten my day .

Stars: $358.28 plus the stake (i included that in my stars figure yesterday)
Tilt: $394.53
Total: $752.81 +money invested in a friend.

Back at the grind tomorrow

No it's not, because the players are not on the same SNG and sharing info.

This is much like sweating or coaching, except everyone is at all level in terms of skills, we collaborate by coming up with the best advices for certain situations.

I just done one session with a 2+2er today and it was a blast. Great advices too. If anyone still would like to join, PM me.

Remember people.............one person per hand.

Your idea would be against most sites TOS rules.

Tread lightly.

llol I think I wrote it the wrong way, but the other players do not tell the person what to do while railing, they will just discuss the situation after the hand was finished.

Recent downswong ... shed more than $10 at the worst of it, but recovered on the day of the lowest point to bottom out at $19 ... breakeven stretch still has me at $19.67 ... bleh!

I don't think so? I haven't read the ToS but how would any video site even exist if it was against the tos?

Had an awesome day today. Yesterday was a bit of a wreck (still up tho), started like shi*t today (AA < 27o from a tilted person, typical).

Anyway, up 4.5 BI at 5NL (200 BB BI), so balance at $152. Hope to be at $200 by the end of the week to move to 10NL

I think I found what my problem is too, my laptop is now broken and away for repairs, so I use a desktop in the corner of the house, no TV, decent screen (4-table easy!), NO HUD, just some music and I'm on fire. Should do this more often imo. Instead of watching movies and playing 2-tables and doing marginal, I can get 4 tables up to $20 within 2 hours...not bad.

Concentration = g00t

Looking forward to get my laptop back tho so I can import the hands...ran at 100BB/100 today, should be a pretty sight.

Stuck in the mid forties. I need to get major amounts of good sleep, eat right, and reevaluate what I'm doing wrong. I think I have a horrible habit of learning something helpful to my game, applying it successfully for a day or so, then somehow slipping back into overly nitty habits that just doesn't consistently work for me. Someone make me quit calling and min betting!

At around $90 right now from an initial deposit of $50 on Oct 4. I will hve huge heaters, and then all of a sudden a tilt awitch is activate and I start chasing top pair ****ty kicker all god damn day.

Maybe use a profit-stop tactic, although it's usually not recommended (as in, If the table is juicy, why leave?)

I'm still on my heater from today, went from $126 -> $ 179 now.
Edit $167, QQ < AA PFAI

Back up to about 78 from 70 I had left from the weekend. No huge pots or anything just two tabled and grinded for a couple of hours. I admittedly am not using the best of bankroll management but I think what this thread is helping me play better in the long run. Having to post results kind of humbles you and also makes you look at your day to day progress. If anyone new starts this I suggest going straight to stars or full tilt. I am stuck on UB where anything below 10NL and 5 sngs do not seem to run very often. No excuses if i bust as am I am playing outside of my roll but if I want to get some hands in this is what i have to do. The good news is that I'm running about 33ptbb/hour at these stakes just under 2k hands so I know its not outside my skill level. (Small sample I know). God forbid I am still doing this in February when my self exclusion from Stars ends I will move my roll over there. Good luck everyone.

I have been roughly breakeven since this thread started
But every time I see it I get reminded of the first one and it cheers me up no end

Had to try this and prove I could do it....started last night with $20...played it up to $26 and change and then ended the night with 21.23. A roughly 6.15% profit....this might take a while....

Sitting at $82.81, back at 2NL, was at $90 the other day so took a shot at 5NL played 3000 hands that was very swingy, got up to $100 then down to $80 back to $90 so moved back down to 2NL and lost when i got the money in good. Thats poker i guess.

So the next thing for me to do i get my roll up to $100 - $125 before i take another shot at 5NL

The reason i moved back down was to get better at multi-tabling.

Last 8000 hands have been breakeven.

played 4 5 dollar HU SNGS and went 3-1. Back up to 87.05. Looking to hit 100 tomorrow. Feeling tired and there are no good games going as of now. God I hate UB. Props to this thread for making me give second thoughts to any kind of tilt. Hope everyone else is doing well. Keep posting this went to the second/almost third page!!!

Deck hit me in the face today, but played solid poker and read hands well (folded QQ to a huge preflop raise and reraise by two other players, figured one of them had KK or AA ... sure enough, one of them had KK)

Surged up to $22.84 (+$3.17) in an hour 3 tabling!

10-22-2008 , 02:14 AM
Edit:up to 89.20. 100 here i come.

Pf back down to $146. Running okay but ran into AA twice with KK PFAI, so that was 2 BI's. And my good hands don't get any action...annoying.

As long as I stay around $150 i'm okay, break-even is better than losing :P

$ 136

Set over set on the river, and QQ < 37o < A3s (straight on the river obv).

I can't wait to move to FTP from Pokerstars, can't stand this site every now and then. Literally steaming right now so turning of PC and gonna watch some tv

OMFG, I got some sick string of 2 outers, it's not even surprising anymore, I'm like "okay, AK vs AJ, I got the Lead, hooold, hooold, ok here comes river Jack, and BAM!" I'm out.

happened more than half the time i play sng now, getting annoying.

still +$1.20 for the day.
