yeah i didn't follow that either, in my book, once you agree to chop you're locked into doing that for the rest of the session

i don't think it's cool to chop when your cards suck and play when you're cards are good, feels like a freeroll of the other person's indifference to playing blind vs blind

The idea behind chopping is that it's not worth it to play heads up because the rake is prohibitive. It's generally in both player's best interest to chop. However, if one player is selectively chopping it's in no one's best interest to chop with that player. There is an understanding that if one is chopping they will chop all hands. To do otherwise is dishonest. The type of players that will selectively chop are the ones that will look at an opponent's hole cards and not tell the opponent they can see their cards. It's a scumbag move and it's one of the reasons I tell people interested in playing poker, not to.
