3 nights of PLO spinning up trying to chase loses have all ended in bankroll destruction for me so no you are not alone in the chasing losses respect.

First off I would take a long break. Over a month at least. During that time try (preferably as soon as you could) find out what caused you to blow off your roll.

Was it poor play due to lack of knowledge? I was and still am completely bollocks at PLO.

Was it tilt? If it was tilt, what kind of tilt was it? Feeling of injustice of losing to 'inferior players' or just unable to handle variance?

After you've sorted all that out answer one simple question honestly. Can I fix this? If the answer is yes then answer this question honestly. Are you sure that's not just your ego talking?

If the answer is still yes then I would recommend you set yourself the long term goal of returning to poker AFTER you have totally gotten rid of your roll destroying issues and completely relearned a better way of dealing whatever the issue may be. If that means buying a book focused on poker psychology then fine. If it means completely relearning ICM and ranges and general poker play then that's what you have to do. I play 100% cash atm so I might have just said a whole bunch of nonsense but you get my meaning i'm sure.

Only once you have done all that and you have the honest confidence in your game and how you play then you can return to the tables.

Sorry for the TL: DR but that's what I had to do before I fixed my issue(s). One of which was very simple, stop playing PLO completely. For now at least.

Move up to where they respect your raises?

in any event, OP's problem is a familair one most online players struggled with in the beginning.

OP, the reason why you are having this problem is not only because of lack of discipline (though that is a huge part of it) but because to you, poker is gambling.

To you, poker is no different than blackjack. And like any gambling game, you chase your losses.

Instead, if you thought of poker in the +EV longterm, then poker would seem like one long game that never ends. So there are no losses to chase. You just play your A-game or B-game and stop playing whenever you are no longer playing your A-game or B-game.

Lastly, it sounds like you don't know how to properly set and reach goals. I'd suggest you literally go to Amazon right this second and buy a book on "how to make, reach, and attain goals" or something to that effect.

There is a whole process to developing and realizing goals and its obvious you know nothing about successfully doing that.
All im saying is, theres a difference between the general play at a $5 Sng and a $50 Sng. Ive seen it and its true.

Im not saying avoid bad players, Im saying bad players make unusual moves that usually pay you off, but they tend to stick around in hands they shouldnt be in. So the chances of a coin flip are high.

its very hard to move up from micros, but very possible. you just have to make the right move every time.

So your telling me that you never try to steal blinds, or 3x someone to fold out of a pot with a fair hand? every pot counts in Sngs. If you get one min raise middle pos. and 2 callers and your on the button what do you do? mid/late in the tourney.
are you gonna call and give them a chance, raise it again, or just shove and take it down?

it really depends but I think im going to shove and take it down, or get called and most likely have the best hand.

also forgive me for not having every detail in that example, make up your own stats.

If it's a coin flip, why shouldn't they be in the hand?
