No Limit HoldEm Theory and Practice discusses it, as does Harrington on Hold'Em.
The basic things you should know are:
1) What different sized bets give in terms of odds:
Pot sized bet gives the caller 2:1 odds
3/4 pot sized bet gives 2.33:1
2/3 pot sized bet gives 2.5:1
1/2 pot sized bet gives 3:1
1/3 pot sized bet gives 4:1
2) How to calcluate SPR (stack to pot ratio): This will tell you how many pot-sized bets it would take to get all in. SPR of 4=2 pot sized bets (e.g. bet pot on the flop and turn) and SPR of 13=3 pot sized bets (e.g. bet pot on flop, turn and river). SPR is calculated by dividing the effective stack size on the flop by the amount in the pot on the flop. For more on SPR, see Professional No Limit Holdem
3) How to calculate a pot sized raise. If you can do that, you can adjust from there to try to maximize value or fold equity
4) How to calculate the amount you need to bet in order to have a pot sized bet left behind for the next street. This will enable you to bet enough to let you get it in when you want to stack your opponent or to make it look like you are trying to get it in when you are bluffing. To do this, subtract the amount of the pot from the amount of the effective stack and divide by 3. For example, if the pot is 25BB on the turn and effective stacks are 88BB, you would have to be (88-25)/3, or 21BB in order to have a pot-sized bet on the river (If you bet 21BB and you are called, the pot will be 67BB and effective stacks will be 67BB).
