Before playing in first live session? Before playing in first live session?

I am new to poker, playing about six months. I just read "The Psychology of Poker" by Alan Schoonmaker. I play in freerolls and some play money sites just to get use to playing and learning the game. I tend to play tight and am aggressive when I have a hand. According to Dr. Schoonmaker, that is a learned way to play. Maybe from reading other poker books I did learn it, but it feels natural to me. Before reading his book, I kind of assumed everyone played that way. But playing in the freerools, I realize there are some people that are just loose and aggressive. I am wondering about live games and tournaments. There is a local poker group that have small tournaments twice a month of up to 30 players and I was wondering what I could expect as type of players playing in these tournaments? I was thinking before the book they would all play like me, tight aggressive, but the book makes it sound like I could expect the other styles also. The tournaments are low buy-ins of $30 and you start with 100 times BB. There is also a casino about an hour away that has $1-3 blinds NL and I was wondering about those players. The book makes it sound like low limit games will have a lot of loose passive players, which would be good to play against first time out. I do well in the freerolls once we get past the dork period of all-in and have won several times against number of players of 80 to 450. These are fast tournaments with blinds going up every six minutes and starting with blinds of 10/20 and 1000 in chips. I guess my main question is, what can I expect normally at these type of locations? Being a tight type player, I want to control my experiences in that I like to know as much about what I am getting into as I can before I get there. Of course now I am wondering would anyone but a tight aggressive player even be on this site? Thanks.

There will probably be a lot of loose-passive players which are the worst type of players. They can be beaten by tight-passive, tight-aggressive and loose-aggressive players.

And for what it's worth, being tight-aggressive isn't necessarily the best style.

Generally people progress like this (IMO):

Loose-Passive
Tight-Passive
Tight-Aggressive
Loose-Aggressive
