Ah, shame.

FWIW I was watching, thinking 'good spot to jam hero's entire range'.

Ah damnit. Unlucky Raikonnen.

It does seem to be one of the better tournies to play (i binked 4th last yr for a decent payday and i don't even play mtts!)

In other news I've quit Zoom. Going cold turkey, no patches or electric gizmos, nothing.

8bi downswong on 1st April did my legs and left me thinking wtf am i doing. After 2yrs playing i should be crushing 10nl (used to be a 20 reg ftw) so why battle for small edges when i should go soulcrush at normal tables.

1.5k hands at 10nl normal, running at 35bb/100

Thanks. Also would you perhaps lean towards folding 44 pre in UTG?
I'm playing 2NL zoom so I probably can't give the best insight on 25NL but I think you played well enough, except you should've checked the river. Board got progressively scarier. The only hands that you're beating are 9T for the higher straight draw which folds on river, two pair which is a 50% fold (villain dependant) some overpairs and flopped pairs. All of those fold, except if you have stats on villain. I suggest you start using a HUD when playing zoom, it's really goddamn effective.

Turn is a nice protection bet from bluffs but river is just a check, you aren't bluffing any sets or flushes on that board imo.

Definite value bet OTR with 44. Prob go 2/3 pot on turn and river. Half seems small.

I'd fold 44 sometimes Utg on a decent table. But There isn't much difference between playing it and folding from what I have seen

With all you having had deep runs in the Big $11, I'm starting to wonder if I should ignore usual 100BI BRM for MTTs and shot-take it sometimes.

I do use a HUD for everything, but it was the first time I had come across him. So no stats, except for the fact he was short and hadn't reloaded. Which is why I assumed he is a fish, and went for the value bet.

The structure is much better, especially if you compare it to the Sunday storm where the average stack hovers around 20bb's. In the big 11 you can stay at 40bb's easier for a lot longer.
And some days I think, zoom is a great idea and highly profitable, when someone 4-bet shoves 99 into my kings, and other times you just can't get action with aces, and everyone nits up.

Not sure I'm 100% convinced by how I played that hand. No reads on the villain that matters, got plenty of outs most of the time and should have some fold equity. Maybe should have called the reraise and stacked off on the turn if I hit a flush, K or A.

^Played fine, villian was also short stacked, and in a 3bet pot it's already to get it in imo. not gonna stove it but with 2 overs, flush draw, backdoors, it's alright imo.

Can't even ****ing beat my 10NL home game. Just keep levelling myself assuming people are better than they are - 'Oh, well, he should be polarised here and have few value hands, so I can call with third pair. Oh, so you potted the river with second pair on a 3-flush board? That's nice.'

Withdrew all my past winnings, starting a bankroll challenge from nl2 to infinity. never really won (or lost) nl5 and nl10 for a prolonged period, just breaking even, so back I go to the basics on nl2.

Back on stars after a 2 month hiatus, and grinding it up. Feel way more confident now, actually thinking about villain's hand ranges and other stuff which I wasn't doing before (clicking buttons lol). Thanks guys for your help.

Hoping to bink a $1 satty to the special Sunday Storm this week.

BR currently at $39. Included pics of first session below.

I don't like the 3bet pre since the raiser is all in. You don't want to go heads up with him. I'm just flatting hoping to get someone else in the pot.
On that flop just get it in

Same if someone shoves like 25bbs and you're sitting there with AA/KK, you just want to flat because you want someone else in the pot to player a bigger pot with. In that situation I'm reraising AK though to discourage ppl with TT/JJ to also call

Some hands from 10nl I wouldn't mind some input on:

Kinda butchered this hand but my reasoning is villain is 3betting 8.8 percent so I call it pre with position. Float the flop and then call the turn thinking I'm ahead. Then the big river bet that I really wasn't expecting. Maybe he hit a backdoor flush?

This hand was a bit weird for me. I've been dealing with a lot of aggression when I feel like I should be ahead, a lot of the time which I'm putting away and looking for fatter value situations. This hand I felt villain was somewhat fishy and I decided to make a stand. obv. lol @ what villain shows up with but what do you guys think? with no reads is this alright?
