I apologize if this has already been discussed, but a search of "Beginners" and all child threads under "Internet Gambling" did not answer my question.

I have begun to use Holdem Manager to analyze my play after sessions and would like to know if after making detailed notes, is there a way to make notes on a players name without sitting with the player at the moment.

If someone could tell me how to do this with either the Pokerstars software or Holdem Manager software, to be able to view player notes next time I sit with the player, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you don't get the response you need here you should try the Software section.

I thought about it, but I figured I would get flamed nicer in here if this was easy to find in the search function.

on pokerstars - - - - i think there's a distinct possibility that all of your player notes
are stored somewhere on your harddrive under the Pokerstars Program Files, or
maybe the Application data folder. To easily find it, you might try adding some
silly note under someone like "QAZQAZQAZ" and then using the Explorer->Search
function to search for that text on your whole C-drive. It may take a few minutes,
but if it's there, it'll find it.

If it's there, then you just navigate to that directory, and check it out. Should
be simple to figure out from there.

I don't know about HoldEm manager.... but in PokerTracker you can take notes on any players. Then you can import/export your notes from/to pokerstars.

That said, the player notes in pokerstars are stored in a file names "Notes.txt" in the installation folder of the pokerstars software.

Thank you, sometimes when a bunch of players leave a table, its too shorthanded to have time to take notes, and I never bothered to dig around for the file.

I accessed the file. Once I opened the file, there is a players name displayed as:

[player=Orginale]

and then the notes underneath. I guess I would just enter the player's name like above and then my notes underneath and it will display them next time I sit with that player?
