I am wanting to get started from switching over from tourney play to cash games, which is recommended?

Full ring is easy for beginners because you can start with a very easy range of hands per position. 6max deals with more post flop play, although preflop is very important as well.

I like 6max better but I grind full ring for less variance + ez postflop decisions lol

You get more hands in 6max. And it probably wont take you that long to adjust to playing looser (im assuming you play FR tourneys).

if you want to learn the game much faster play 6max, you play more hands and cant be as much of a nit
