i was playing at the regular home gamev last night and cae into a situation i never been in before.i was getting 3 betted every single time i raised.
the player to my right would raise me pretty much every single time even if i was in the big blind and he was in the small blind he would check then re-reaise me if i raised.
the game is only a 1/1 game and most of the players there are donks who will move all in preflop for $50-$100 with 23 suited. the player in question was frustaioning the hell out of me and i didnt really know what to do, i was on the button and raise to $3 a few people would call then he would bump it up to $13 and then table AK.
a few hands later i would raise with 88 he would reraise and table J3. i started to 4 bet with a few hand but was not really feeling comfortable.
what type of range should i 4 bets with? i only did it 3 times on him once when i had pocket 10's once with AQ suit and another with 89s just out of pure frustation.
what can u do with this kind of player as he was on the massive stack playing pretty wild he seem to reraise with ace rag or and pocket pair

This probably isn't standard...

I like to get 99+ AJs+ AQ+ (KQs if I fell frisky especially if this guy is crazy loose like that)and shove it back down his throat

This will slow him down once he sees you will go the distance.
Peace

Pick a decent range, whatever seems appropriate. If he's being absolutely ******ed pick a range as weak as the 77+ AJs+ type thing but be careful. And don't be results oriented if you feel you are 4-betting ahead of his range. Every now and then throw in a small 'bluff', or something weaker than normal, if you are new at it, like 10% of the time.

Make sure to size your 4-bets smaller.
If, for example, you raise from $1 to $3, and he 3-bets you to $11 (this is a super standard line for decent players), make it $25-28ish. IDK what lines where happening in your home game. There's many reasons behind this, one of them being that if you happened to 4-bet a hand way behind someone's 5bet shoving range then you can fold.

- decide what his range is
- pokerstove different hands against this range (pokerstove.com)
- shove the hands that have > 50% equity

this is likely way less nitty than people are suggesting.

there is no need for balancing
you can assume all 3betting hands call a ship
never 4b as a bluff vs this player

I think in this situation I 4-Bet hands that are easy to play post flop
So I'm happy to play AA, KK, QQ, AK and 22 33 45s etc because with the premium hands you can call any push unless the board is really scary and with the lesser hands you can either connect or fold
I'm less willing to play AJ, 99 etc in this situation because even if you connect you may still be behind
Unless he is continually calling or pushing over your 4-bet, in which case I think davidv1213 has the answer

he has just start to play at our home game which means i am still trying to figure him out all the other player i have a pretty good idea what they have or what they are doing but this guy i never really know.if he bets hard it means 95% he got the nuts or near enuff to it. but these crappy little reraises were just there to piss me off. it does make the game a little more intresting but will see what happens

Good luck putting the new guy into his place! We had a guy like this in my homegame and I mostly avoided him unless I was nut-peddling. Looking back, I missed tons and tons of value as a result. If worse comes to worst, pull out a notepad, track how many times he 3bets and how many hands are played, then as suggested above, pokerstove it and jam all the hands you expect to be ahead of his range down his throat.

This'll lead to some variance, but should lead to more profit. Best of all, you'll feel like a man! I moved out of the state, so I fear I will never have the chance to show my old nemesis that I learned how to 4bet light
