Does anybody know if there is somewhere a good strategy post about 2nd barreling ?

I think I do it too often at the wrong moment...

no idea. 2 barrelling for me is instinctive and player specific.. actually no it's not 3 barrelling is.. 2 barrelling is natural. don't overthink it.

HUD stats that show Calls CBets in the high range coupled with a high range Folds to Turn Bet.

Yeah, I read that a lot, but didn't find a "theoretical post" about 2nd barrel.

I should post hands, but as I am on 2+2 at work , it's a bit difficult. I will try tomorrow...

TY for the answers !

I remember reading a 2+2Mag article called 'Anatomy of the Continuation Bet' by Tysen Streib. The article is gone now but I saved a copy to a text file. I'm not sure if it is available somewhere on the net, but if you can't find it - let me know via pm.

Not sure what stakes you play, but I play the micros and am a chronic c-better. Makes me vulnerable to exploitation by thinking opponents but I can usually spot the thinkers and adapt fairly quickly. The key/aha moment for me was to adjust the bet size to something smaller than a pot sized bet. You'll want to play around with the size to see what works for you but betting a smaller amount does three things;
1) Takes down the pot almost as frequently as a pot sized bet.
2) Doesn't spew the difference when you're beat.
3) Leaves more money behind so you can increase your 2nd barrel frequency.

I find the second barrel to be very profitable against micro-players who will often call what is perceived as a 'small' (less than pot sized) bet with a lot of thin draws or other weakish hands, even though you have given them bad odds to see the turn. They will very often fold to the second barrel figuring that if you're willing to bet a second time, you must have caught. You see a lot of bet the flop, check/fold the turn at these tables.

Almost certainly not what you were looking for (not a big philosophical treatise) but are my observations from playing a lot of 6-Max 10NL & 25NL

I like to second barrel in a few scenarios.
1) i think my opponent is drawing thus I think i still have the best hand.
2) the turn cards improves my hand giving me more outs,
3) against players who i have reads or stats on indicating they fold often in that scenario
