I remember the very first time someone introduced Hold 'Em into our dealers choice game, back in '99 or so.

This kids raising like crazy and I start getting just irate, after doing this a few times he flashes AA. We had all folded to his yet again pre-flop raise, and I think he showed me to shut me up. At the time I totally went off, something along the lines of "Yeah so what, 2 Aces big deal but you haven't even seen all the cards yet, this game is so stupid *insert other random whining and grumbling*"

1. I thought straights could wrap around and got all my money in with A2 on a KQJ 5 7 board and quit online poker for a while until I found out I didn't have a straight.

What's really sick is that in some of the Eastern European countries, they do allow wraparound straights (Q-K-A-2-3) and skip-straights (2-4-6-8-10) on their video poker machines.

I had a buddy get into a pissing match with me, he was ready to bet the farm on the fact that A-2-3-4-5 was a higher straight than 10-J-Q-K-A because it started with the A.

He wouldn't believe me until I looked it up online for him, even then he was skeptical.

1. Wondered why EVERYBODY wasn't playing freerolls. I had a schedule made out of the start times of all freerolls on all sites. (pre UIGEA) and was ballin with $12 on WSEX. Nobody played cash games there and it was too little to cashout.
Hmmm..........I wonder what ever happened to that $12 ????

2. When the Ace high diamond flush was on the board, why does the guy with a measly 4d in the hole win the entire pot. Shouldn't we chop it!

Cursing my luck and folding a huge pot in 2L when the board paired J's on the river and I held a set of 8's thinking one of the other two had to have a higher set (aka trips)

Thinking quad on the board was always a split.

This basically is a bad beat. YOu have 21 outs on the flop (70% equity according to pokerstove). So you are a pretty big favorite on the flop.

1. I lost almost all of my first deposit in the first hour because I thought playing 1/2 cash games online was just like 1/2 cash games live.

2. I thought limping into as many cheap flops as possible was the best strategy.
