Hello,

I never read a poker book, cover to cover. I just read the sections that sounded interesting to me. This was years ago. I did most of my poker learning from sites like this one, YouTube, and the free magazines at the casinos. Recently I been learning a lot from TikTok videos. So now I am motivated to start reading poker books, and was wondering should I be reading for 1/2nl or 2/3nl at live casino tables? I know the books have changed since when I started playing, 2006, and was looking for tips and what books could benefit me. Thank you for your time.

Sklansky/Malmuth are releasing a book on just these sorts of games fairly soon. Sure that some people will argue as to whether there are better books available (maybe) or whether books are still useful at all (yes), but the thread on that book in general probably already covers what you're wanting. Pretty much any book that tells you how to identify bad live players' mistakes and exploit them should work.

I can't wait for that book- I think it's going to be great for new live players. Then again, when it comes to live, I think a lot of the old books hold value. I think the Smash Live Cash course is probably pretty good for the value as well- because of how much money you can make live.
