If the house uses a shuffle machine, then it adds 0.5% to the player's edge in seat #1.
But if you ask the dealer to scramble before placing cards in the shuffle machine, it increases your edge for that hand by 3%, so you should always ask for a scramble as many times as possible.
Only thing better than a scramble is a set-up change. A new deck gives you an additional 5% in edge but decreases 0.025% each time it is shuffled. We can negate this degradation to some extent by asking for scrambles...
