I have just downloaded hand2note from the website.
Installed to pc.
When I try to load the splash screen comes up, and then it just stops working and closes completely.

I have installed 3 sperate times all with new downloads.
I have added the hand2note folder to the antivirus exclusion list
I have added hand2note to the firewall exceptions list

I have looked at the config files as there was some suggestion of one of them to delete but it didn't exist.
I have deleted all of the log files previously and tried again.

PC is running windows 11
13th gen intel processer
32gb ram
loads of storage space

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, Firewall and Windows Security Threat Protection are different functions. You need to disable the antivirus specifically.

To add the entire Hand2Note folder to exclusions, open Windows Defender (the icon is located near the clock):

Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Add or remove exclusions.

Please add the entire Hand2Note folder, not just a single file.

Also disable all options in Virus & threat protection and App & browser control.

Run the poker rooms also as administrator.If it does not help , could you please tell us if you have any additional antivirus software installed on your computer?

If Hand2Note does not start working immediately after this, please perform a reinstall following the instructions below. Make sure to manually delete the Hand2Note 4.1 folder after uninstallation, as this step is required.
Could you please try the following steps:
1. Close Hand2Note completely.
2 .Delete the following file:
C:\Program Files\Hand2Note 4.1\umpdc.dll
3 .Launch Hand2Note again and check whether the issue has been resolved.

If it does not help, could you please reinstall Hand2Note 4?
1. Uninstall Hand2Note 4 through the Control Panel.
2. After uninstalling there are still remaining files in Hand2Note folder, you should delete them manually. This is a required step! By default it is C:/Program Files/Hand2Note4.1.
‼️ • If you need to make a backup of your settings, copy the following folders before deleting: Config, Notes.
3. Download the latest version of the installer and install https://hand2note4-1.azureedge.net/H...4Installer.exe
4. Try to launch Hand2Note 4 in the default configuration and check if it helped.
5. If the issue is solved, you can try to restore your settings.
6. You can restore your played hands by importing the following folders C:\Hand2Note4Hh\ and C:\MyHandsArchive_H2N4\ to your new database

Please check that all programs are running with administrator privileges and that all Hand2Note folders have been added to your antivirus, and Windows Defender exclusions and Smart App Control is disabled

I tried all the steps and claude had already suggested I do those things but I'm still having the same issue as the OP. Are you sure the issues isn't acutally the latest install file?

Just gets stuck on the splash screen and then closes down.

Hello, I just bought the software and am also having the same issue. I followed the steps, reinstalled twice and same issue. Also on windows 11.

Could you please confirm whether you manually deleted the entire Hand2Note folder after uninstalling it via the Control Panel? Also, did you download the new installation file, as it was recently updated?

I am having the same blank screen issue and the software does not open.. i tried all the above steps.. still doesnt work.. After i reinstall when i launch the software, it asks me to login to the account which is strange.. After i login, same issue repeats.. it is happening since over a month now

Hello! The login request is normal because you are installing Hand2Note from scratch.
Could you please reinstall Hand2Note 4.1:
1. Disable Windows Defender and VPN.
2. Add the entire Hand2note 4.1 folder to Windows Defender [exclusions](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...EBF=Windows_10)
3. Uninstall Hand2Note 4.1 through the Control Panel.
4. Delete the folder C:/Program Files/Hand2Note4.1
5. Download the latest [installer file](https://hand2note4-1.azureedge.net/H...4Installer.exe)
6. Run Hand2Note and the poker rooms as administrator.

Hello. I have the same trouble as everyone else is having here.

Did absolutely everything in two computers:
- One of them is Windows Server, software wont ever open doing absolutely everything here, uninstalling, installing, and restarting the server several times. (every step of lowering protection done and it still wont work)
- The other one is standard Windows 11 RAIDER GE76 MSI notebook. Again, black screen trouble, windows locking, software wont open. (again, every step of lowering protection done)

Ive deleted the .dll several times too, everytime running everything as admin.
Clear reinstalls too, deleting every file and every register of the sofware.

Both cases (server and PC) every security possible disabled. I still dont get the reason why this bug is actually happening.

Would you mind sharing an older more stable version for us to download?
Or maybe you guys have a quick update about upcoming releases.
