Dear Stars,

I want to make a suggestion/have a mini-rant about your Steps system. (I'm not sure if this is the correct thread for this, but please hear me out).

When the Steps system was first introduced, it was sold as a way for players with smaller bankrolls to be able to work their way up to play in larger buy-in games, for a smaller outlay, ie a SNG satillite system.

The buy-in/value of Steps tickets are as follows;
Step 1 = $7.50
Step 2 = $27
Step 3 = $82
Step 4 = $215
Step 5 = $700
Step 6 = $2100

However, the vast majority of MTTs are at the following buy-ins;
$22 / $33 / $55 / $75 / $109 / $162 / $215 / $530 / $1050.
The only place that these 2 coincide is at the $215 level.

The only MTTs that the Steps tickets can be used for are;
$7.50 = there are about 2 per day, with no guarantee
$27 = there are about 6 per day, mostly turbo KO with no guarantee and small chip stacks
$82 = about 2 Hyper Turbos a day
$700 = mainly Super Sats to live events
$2100 = ?

You recently released your SCOOP schedule, which doesnt included a single $700 buy-in event. Although Im pretty sure that your preliminary schedule had the Main Event Medium at $700 - why was this changed?

I have had a Step 5 ticket for months which I have been saving for SCOOP, which I now cannot use, and will have to save for WCOOP - in the hope that you add a $700 buy-in event there.

My Suggestion

It is possible that the Steps system can be changed to that the buy-ins coincide with the buyins of the main offering of MTTs, so that players have more choice where they can use their tickets?

FTP used to do this very well, with their Steps tickets being the same value as their MTTs - $3.30, $8.70, $26, $75, $215, $640.

This would drive so much more traffic through your Steps system, which in turn would drive more traffic through to your MTTs as people progressed up the "ladder". Surely its a "win-win" for Pokerstars?

Regards
Ian

Dear Stars,

can you please add some higher level 180man hyperturbos?

The $1 180s are GREAT! The (unique?) structure is just flat out perfect, fast paced but slow increasing. Please try these at $7s and see if it segregates player pools too much. I think, not many grinders know about the $1 ones but would greatly appreciate the structure if they knew it!

Thank you in advance.

what did you guys change in the client that causes memory usage to rise and rise during mtt sessions?

back in the day this was a very common complaint about ftps client

stars memory usage would be around 20,00-50,000k and ftps would be 200,00-500,00k

just looked a bit ago and stars client was at 264,000k? what gives?

Suggestion: Make "Requests->Hand History->Last 1 week" to actually send you what its name says, and not only 200 hands. That feature might be very used now that you do not save all the Zoom HH to disk and that might spare you from receiving a ton of emails to the support department(at least 1 per month from me is guaranteed under the actual circumstances).

can we get a hotkey on the table say, Ctl+Shift + F which lists all the players on your table and the # of tables they are playing..that or takes the list of names on table and brings back a full player search return.

Scheduled server maintenance: TELL US IN THE CLIENT.
Min buy in should be raised to 50bb, rly these 40bb "shortstackers are ruining the game for every fish"

Request last week of hands should be possible, last 200 is nothing.

Would that really fix the problem tho? If you raise the minimum buyin they will still shortstack to whatever that min buyin is.

Two years ago it was "these 20bb shortstackers are ruining the game for every fish, raise it to 40bb".

Well over 50/60bbs is going to make it harder for the "no post-flop" people.

Stars Hotkey and Mouse Buttons

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Has anyone been able to get their mouse programmed to work with Star's hotkeys? I cannot. I have a sidewinder x8 mouse. I download and set my buttons to keystrokes with Microsoft Mouse software.

When I set a keystroke to an action in PS Hotkeys and then set the Mouse to the same keystroke, it does not work. Yet, if I open notepad and press the mouse button it will type the same keystroke.

Hey guys, any idea when zoom tournaments will be available? They were so good on FTP. Don't have to reserve 14 hours of your day to grind a few tourneys.
