Oh, and what about the players like me who run a Mac, and can't run TableNinja?
Can't believe I am responding to this, but basically, anything that makes your opponent play worse is better for you. Kind of like alcohol in a casino - it would be insane to petition the casino to not allow drinking. (Mike Caro had the same feeling about smoking, although of course smoking has been recognized as a major public health hazard since the days when he played.)
It's kind of like with the whole idea of a HUD - wouldn't it be pretty insane if you got an e-mail from Poker Stars tomorrow saying... "hey listen up - we just added default stats tracking to ALL games, so now YOU KNOW when they're bluffing and when they're not; next week, we'll be adding auto-instant-replay, where you get to see your opponent's mucked hole cards when the hand's over, no matter what!"
Now I guess for Mac users and for those who aren't used to using third party apps but who do play a lot, the popup issue can be a major hindrance. I am just saying, there is at least partial logic to some of the choices Stars made in their software design choices.
I do agree with Dog though that the ini files should be made more open.
