Can US pokerstars software rail real money games ?

I can only see play money games on the software, I thought you used to be able to view the real money games.

After seeing your post, I loaded up the poker client and had an update too (i'm on the '.com' version of the client).
My updates normally take a matter of seconds to complete. This particular one took longer but, was still fully completed in less than 2mins and i'm now logged into the client.

Your's definitely doesn't seem right and there's no way it should take that long.

I would re-boot and try running the update again...

What thread do you recommend where we as recreationals can let other recreationals be made aware that you knowingly allow predator environments full of tools used against us we are not aware of such as advanced HUDS, table scripts to search and pray on us, and severe datamining that can lead to sold hand histories and used to steal our money essential at a later date. What would you see if a full table suddenly had everyone but one player leave? (I am guessing you have checked [x] Hide Full Tables )

when i buy in into zoom with 50 bbs and the next hand after bb i add up to 100 bb and then leave the tables i should NOT get the message that i left with more than i bought in, likey you do to shortstacks, fix your programming cmon, can't open 4 tables at once for 20 hours after that, annoying as ****.

Why? When you enter the pool you ARE a shortstack. Doesn't matter if you add the remaining 50bbs or win them and leave w/ over 100bb. Why is it so hard to buy 100 deep right away if you are playing that anyways?

because there is a difference when i buy in for 50 bbs and then put my own other 50 bbs compared to when i buy in to 50 bbs and then double up from someone elses money and then leave.
i did it buy in like that by mistake when i changed stakes i play at, but it affected all the stakes i tried to play afterwards, annoying red ****ing message every time i try to start a zoom session, and i like to play lots of short sessions throughout the day.
also the message is so long, it makes it impossible to press the ok button on my laptop without folding the popup with >> button.
also when i open tables 1 by 1 due to this ****, every new hand that takes action steals the focus from buy in window, which makes it a hell to buy in when that ****ty message pops up.

So are you trying to say you want to buy 50bb at higher stakes and not add the remaining 50bb instantly? There are so many things wrong at stars nowadays but this cure for ratholing aint one of those. You should just move to 888 or party where you can do that as many time you like.

Kind of get your point adding the 50bbs theory but the client doesnt see it like that. You buy for less than 100bb so you are a shortstack.

And you can add from the buyin options allways buy in the required ammount.

Yes also can't click on hole cards in any game bar 2-7

Yes, you should be able to rail RM games. I checked both the NJ version of the .COM client and the ROW version, and can observe real money games in both.

There is a RM/PM switch in the lobby that you might not be aware of:



If that isn't there, the you are looking at the .NET version of the client, which has always only had PM games.

Please let me know which client version you are using (go to Help > About PokerStars and look for the 5-digit Build number in the upper right). We saw this problem when we first started deploying the latest update, stopped further deployments so we could fix it and then redeployed.

Dear Keith ,can someone at the office explain what "sessioncamrecorder.js" is on the web browser for www.pokerstars.com/co.uk please.

My overall feeling is that this is intrusive spyware at best if not ,pokerstars best interest in believing to give players no actual privacy. im sure there is a policy for this but who knows. I would like to know what it does /how it works and does it record hand histories where it sends them who it sends them to . does owner of script have rights of access?

Im sure your aware of this but following on from the absolute poker scam and other online poker scandals this could quite be the very most forefront of investigations so far in terms of "breach of privacy/security" through the web browser.

I have emailed support as I feel screen scraping is going on from behind the curtain at pokerstars/amaya.

Hi everyone my name is Aaron , I play on pokerstars as a genuine player and enthusiast but this weeks debated mess and various hindrance of bad beats two outers and serious concerns about the poker software have left me feeling a little displeasured. Im not one of those sad loser types that gives up easily ,but i have in the past complained vigoorously about poker sites and here is why.

1. regulation.
2. concerned efforts to reduce cheating.
3.fair play
4.enjoyable practice and gaming.

So far ive lost in excess of £20,000 on most of the major poker sites over the course of 10 years on absolute poker etc fulltilt and I lost in 2012/2013 in a three way pot $5000 on one hand of cards to Ola Amundsgard. yes PLO specialist and professional poker player. im not here to dismiss anything btw. I have won and lost sums on the site.

However ,im more concerned with the genuine data , I am quite clever with computers and although not as clever as some ,I have been using a windows 7 machine fully patched fully installed and with no anti-virus,windows defender is good enough .the resource monitor is a good asset to check for disc usage and site protocol and connections for tcp programming .

Nowi the thing that baffles me is that I use a residential connection from virgin media on a cable modem , not giving any such private details here but I dont think I am connecting properly and pokerstars keeps giving me the brushdown saying its a legitimate site etc.

my traceroutes all fail, I have bad peering routes to the servers and my peering connections fail massively,and im losing about 35% packet data whether it is udp or tcp packet dumps/loads. whether these are checked by
virgin media or the firewall I dont know , ive allowed access in the modem superhub firewall and in the computers own firewall but still im having issues with connecting. although you wouldnt think this as it says connected under port 26002.

my concern is not only with the browser security of the website itself but with the cookie files attached to the poker download security including any certification by "tubemogul.com" sessioncammanager.js etc /also what baffles me is the "bursting.sys ad server connection"and maxymiser.net. this seems like spyware or malware to me. and im on the genuine site ,this is no wind up btw for the serious people out there.

maybe if pokerstars didnt have brand monitor protection companies looking after them like markmonitor.com or hide themselves behind very strict protocol servers that mitigate against ddos attacks ,perhaps I would be able to sustain playing on this site .

does anyone feel their privacy has been diminished here yet? well read on.

I believe the site is blocking my cable connection ip address because it is dynamic , dynamic ips could well be blocked due to the government registration services and by gamblock a independant gaming company that issues certification .could these restrictions put in place be hampering my connection and server usage? I ask them to review the data but all I get is akamai technologies sending me data ,nothing to do with rational enterprises at all , this is a peering route sending data not pokerstars.

I believe it also to be a block put in place by virgin media isp as this has caused me to lose 95% of all my sessions of play , I am a losing player
there is no doubt about the data here its just the way i lose that is the problem .

I think virgin media restrict oncline gaming through the software client to connect through their services although the deny this , however I have failed requests to server many times and just am not connecting in the way it should be.

do I need to get a professional leased line or a buisness class connection to get more sort of access? I understand vpn and vps/server proxies are banned although not all proxies are.,but to evade detection from site is frowned upon ,they need to detect everyones ip address thats fair enough but what if that ip address was a public dynamic ip address then what?

I can only tell folks what I know and see , if that makes me a bad person then ohh well ,but if they plant trojan spyware or torrent or
p2p software with bad intentions what else can I do?

im stuck as my isp does not care , a leased line would set me back £350 per month which is impossible and it seems only the most seasoned of professionals could afford this service. at least the going rate for a decent on demand all time no drop connection service is very very pricey.

so i look upon some tech gurus out there to suggest to me what it is I can do firstly about the network troubles and also please I ask support staff what i can do about the software cookie file data.

im out of answers for now as this point, ive gone past the point of even trying to enjoy playing poker anymore let alone finding in itself that the game can become very tiresome espcially if you come close in games or for example play for 6 hours straight to lose in mini-wcoop 800k stack with nut hand over nut hand having worked up the stack for hours and lose it in 2 mins.just becomes more of a waste of time in realising that you can never beat the games on the site ,and when it becomes like this ,there is very little enjoyment ,no-one likes to lose ,heck I understand losing but thats not my point.

I urge for answers please , im sure pokerstars cares enough for its players to do the right thing ,and for sure if i hadent lost the last 20 deposits over the past 1 month totalling £250 then I wouldnt have no reason to complain about it here.as it is there is no choice , i think im getting swindled and not getting a fair game of it simple as that.

they wont even let me sustain a bankroll , heck I did an excellant job of that myself 3 years ago against My Amundsgard and MPharris ,I lost $5000 on one deal of cards with pocket aces in plo ,although thats beside the point, think the thing is they dont give me a valued time
at the tables any more.

And in any case , before anyone starts ripping into me saying that I constantly whinge about losing or bad beats ,wake up and jog on, this is 2016 for goodness sakes and im no problem gambler and i know my limits and responsibilities however ,here is the gripe :

if Daniel negranue the site ambassador suddenly played online and realised there was a session cam recording his activities on his computer including fingerprint recognition/speech recognition and was recording his poker sessions in real time mode what what it say for the genuine level ness of security and honesty? what would he argue against there in terms of breach of privacy? security.

I think pokerstars should not just out the fact they have this public thing where verification is the normaility but be more sincere and stop snooping via these so called cam services,its wrong and its like peering into someones hole cards which is preety damm illegal if not immoral.

so the questions still remains Keith when is pokerstars going to tell the public who ahs admin rights to sessioncam.js? or is half the team at javascript working on hacking the next vunerable guy at the poker tables.

leave it up to you ,im done as far as online poker is concerned , playing live is much more fun and safer and at least is very to be able to maintain that social atmospheric quality. I cannot acheive that very same thing on the online pokerstars tables.
