No, I didn't just find out - obviously that's how promotions work by definition.

Hey Keith, on .bg client here, stars froze and closed down in the middle of 3 tabling spins. I read for this for quite some time in the thread, thought it was actually fixed and I was lucky not to face it. It creates HORRIBLE experience, leads to $ losses and considerably less desire to generate rake for stars. When is it going to be fixed?

I don't know the exact number of days this is dragging but not having solution at this point screams incompetence.

The client has been crashing constantly since scoop, multiple times per session. It seems like more people have the same problem, any ideas what the problem could be?

Maybe since Amaya`s stock is down about 45% since the takeover, they just can`t afford maintenance. lol

Complete incompetent degenerate system failure, here stars comes!

When I go into the cash games tab f.e. there are some 1/2c cash tables but the lowest zoom table is once again the Hyakutake 2/5c table...
Maybe this thread will help:

Spoiler:

Haven't tried it myself so use this info at your own risk.
Download then copy&paste files from build 13086 from this archive and run pokerstars.exe (not pokerstarsupdate.exe).

Avatar is back and everything is running smooth.
(I ran 5-6 tables during an hour w/ no issues)

Antivirus also says its ok.

This is starting to get seriously tempting. If they won't rollback, why don't we just do it ourselves.

I skipped today because don't want to multi table on a sunday with hud crashes, and don't want to play without my hud on a sunday of all days.

Don't want to 1-4 table because that would be a cross between LOL and YAWN. So no games seems far better then boredom and crashing/ degening today.

Maybe I play tonight when it's technically not sunday on the servers anymore, **** mellows out, and it's easier to multi table without my PT4.

We have a new update from the team investigating the crash bug. They believe they have a resolution but, because we can't reproduce the problem in our QA labs, we can't be certain. So, rather than issue a general client update like we did last week, we will make a special test build on .COM that affected players can download and run to see whether it has stabilized.

Within the next few hours we should have a link and further instructions, and we are asking any players on the Windows / .COM software who have been experiencing the crash bug to please try this new build and let us know how it works for your situation.

I will post again as soon as I have the download details.

Custom chips and cards had to install again and remove that pokerstars / zoom text from the table. Everything else was like before.

table themes - yes I guess
but lobby, gameplay setting and favs are stored in user.ini file and aren`t affected by *.exe files.

How do you remove the logo from the tables? New POKER STARS logo is ugly enough to be annoying.

Here is the link for the modified .COM build (Win/PC) that should have the crash bug resolved:

http://dev1.testpokerstars.com/excha..._COM_13519.exe

We encourage all .COM players who have been experiencing the crash/freeze problem to try playing with this client and let us know whether the crash bug is gone or still persisting.

You simply need to download and install this version, then let us know how well it works - no other steps are required.

However, it would be most helpful if you could set up your user.ini file to do extra data logging in case the problem persists. It would be best to make this simple .ini file mod after you download and install, but before you start playing with the new version - so that if there are still problems you will be capturing important data you can send to us for further research. Here are the instructions for adding the debug section to your .ini file:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...ostcount=25226

===========

We greatly appreciate those players who are willing to help us with this testing. We understand how frustrating it is for those of you affected, and we're sorry that the resolution is taking so long. With your kind help, it will be resolved sooner.

And, to anticipate the comments about why we need players to help us test a solution - this problem is one that we are unable to reproduce in our QA lab. Since we can't force the crash bug to manifest itself here, we have no way to verify that the code changes have cleared the bug even though the software has passed all our normal system/regression/performance tests, so we need your help. If the prior version was crashing/freezing for you and the new version does not, then we'll know for sure and we can roll it out to everyone.

Open from Pokerstars.exe (maybe appears as just Pokerstars). The desktop shortcut will still update it.

Had multiple crashes every day for a while, updated to windows 10 from windows 7 and no crashes since that.

Mac version keeps crashing too, usually whenever a table is being closed.
