and the answer is: from October 1st you can play...... So can we play pokerstars in until Novemberst 1st or October 1st??

edit: btw as a dutch players, please continue (and 2+2 please allow) to post links to any website with relevant information
With the new information available today I think we can play on stars untill November 1st before Dutch accounts will be closed. This gives an extra month of play/cashout

Starting October 1st legal options will be Holland Casino online and GG Poker

This is a fair assumption. We’ll only know for sure once PS and others email their Dutch players. I’d imagine they’d wait until the last day of November but you never know.

DOH! That means I cannot secretly converse with Charlize Theron online there anymore.

Wait a minute. Actually, she is from South Africa. Nevermind people. Carry on.

I have now heard that the regulator intends on forcing unlicensed operators to halt their business for the Dutch starting October 1st and not November 1st. In the month of October, Dutch players will be able to log in to cash out, but won't be able to play. From November 1st, they will not be able to log in. That is what the regulator intends - is the latest information I have - it's not a given that it will play out like this as it's up to the online poker rooms and online casino's to cooperate or not.

Run It Once Poker emailed their Dutch customers today that they're closing shop for us. No word from party, PokerStars, or Unibet. The latter two declined to comment today when I asked them at a conference I was at with them.

The regulator today was again very clear. But there's always the possibility that the law firms working for these pokerrooms have a different idea/strategy/take on things. I really don't know. The date the regulator is really going to enforce the new policy, is November 1st. So there might still be some room, I don't know.

Yeah don't worry about it. November 1st is when they HAVE to be offline. October 1st is just when the law goes into effect. Meaning if you decide to play on stars or party after october first you will have to pay taxes over whatever amount you win. Stars and party will probably email us early-mid october asking us to cash out in preparation for november

how does it work with the taxes? Are players taxed now or just the companies that offer gambling?

Yeah SO still no word from pokerstars and unable to see or register any tourney in the lobby that starts (or finishes???) October 1st.

Weird stuff but I cashed out my whole bankroll just now.

GG poker it is! As they appear to have the license from tomorrow...

My client is already missing any tournament or sit&go costing less than $109. Earlier I could at least see the finished ones in the micro section, but after pressing 'play the similar game' it already said it wasn't available in my country.

I will certainly miss them, been there since 2004 I guess. Tried many others in between but the software, offering of games, relative fair casino and a very fast payout to Skrill etc. All the others took hours if not days.

Not going to look for alternatives, saw that list of 10 operators, Non of it appeals, that is when I every heard of some of them. Seeing the bigger gambling sites already cut ties with Dutch people, what's going to be left online is those rogue ones that don't give a **** about any Dutch law to apply for a license.

There's a big chance they launch at in 2 hours. Some others, like Batavia Casino, will wait till after the weekend, but I don't think bet365 will wait.

This is all a bit frightening, I found out about the gambling reform just now. I got kicked out of the Unibet poker client a couple of hours ago immediately after receiving a message that play is unavailable for Dutch residents for an unknown length of time. This is the official statement (in Dutch) that has just dropped from the CEO Kindred Group, the group that owns Unibet:

So yeah, RIP playing on Unibet for the forseeable future.

Is there any information out what poker options us Dutch residents have at this moment in time? I read in this thread that Bet365 already obtained a license and will likely welcome Dutch players this month - writing this in the early hours of Octobre the 1st - but their official website states that they don't offer any services to Dutch residents.
