Yes, the .COM client has 9-max tables. I'm not sure why we only have 6-max tables on PSNJ, but I've asked the appropriate experts and will let you know.

Im in mexico and play on ROW stars. Can i download pokerstars NJ on my computer now and view the games?


When i go to the usa, whats my best option to play on stars nj? If i go to say borgata, i know they have wifi there. I think theres a $10 daily fee for it. So that would be fine right? However wifi isn't really that reliable. I see people mentioning about going to a hotel or starbucks to grind. Is that really viable? That certainly doesnt seem comfortable. Now playing it in your hotel room...well at least thats better. I dont know how anyone could play a tournament that way since places would close late at night. And of course public wifi isn't that reliable.


Another thing that im confused at. So basically for those of you in new jersey you have to connect to pokerstars new jersey via wifi? Thus if you are on a desktop or laptop and do a hard wired ethernet connection, that wouldn't work? Could you connect to your smartphone tethering? Reason is well if your internet goes down, then that is usually your backup so curious about that. I recalled i read about that borgata thread and everything mentioned is wifi connection.


I know this is about NJ pokerstars. But does anyone know how long it will take until we see pokerstars NJ pool combined with other states like california, new york, pennsylvania, texas, florida etc? Does anyone here think pairing NJ with california, new york, pennsylvania, florida and texas we would get more players to ROW? Someone actually said if you pair it with california, pennsylvania and new york, that would probably be better than stars row. Does anyone agree with this? I know many of you guys in NJ want to play with ROW... but trust me you do not. The games are horrible. But obviously if you want bigger prize pool yes.


I will also say this. Im sure if pokerstars NJ pools all 50 states, almost all the ex-pats who went out of the country would come back to the us. Bring stars back to the 50 states!

Can anyone but preferably PS answer: all of my VIP store items are listed at Bronzestar prices despite me being a higher tier than Bronzestar. Do I have to wait until next month to get my tier prices or is this all that is offered right now?

I understand that. They are a public company, not private. It's more competition to the market place. With better support than we are getting currently, also most non regs don't know that.

We were pleased to announce earlier today that PokerStars has received technical approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and is now fully live in New Jersey. Thanks once again to all of you who took part in the testing period and have been helping identify issues and showing patience as we work through some of the early kinks. It has been appreciated. On to some questions:

Players who received the incorrect bonus clearing rate of 140 VPPs per $10 will be contacted via email this week to explain that every play who deposited will receive their bonus at the correct rate of 100 VPPs per $10. Because we're technically unable to change the clearing rate of a bonus in progress, if you haven't cleared the entirety of your bonus by the time it expires (four months after your first deposit), we will ensure that you are credited at the rate of $10 per 100 VPPs, and will deposit any outstanding bonus amount into your account.

For example, if you deposited $70 and earn 700 VPPs by the time the bonus period expires, receiving a bonus of $50 (700 VPPs = 140 VPPs x 5 = $50), we will make sure you are credited the additional bonus amount (700 VPPs = 100 VPPs x 7 = $70). In this example, we would credit you with the extra $20 once the bonus period has expired.

Have passed this on to be looked at.

We apologize for the inconvenience the sound bug is causing. This bug will be fixed in the next client release, which is still a couple weeks away. You could consider muting your sounds if that is a better alternative in the meantime for you by going to Settings -> Global --> Sounds and unticking "Enable sound effects".

I passed this on to the Casino team to investigate. StarsCoin should be credited for casino games at the rates described here. Note that you do not earn VPPs at this time for playing casino, so you should not expect to see any progress on your VIP Steps progress bar at the poker tables.

The BronzeStar criteria simply means that BronzeStar VIPs and higher are eligible to purchase them. There may be items in the future that are specific to higher VIP statuses.

Are you still seeing a stuck progress bar? If so, if you could please contact Support with a screenshot, that would be helpful.

It is being worked on, but I don't have a specific date yet to share.

No current plans for Full Tilt to enter the market.

Yeah it's good for you guys that Stars are there, no doubt. However, you shouldn't be under the impression that a Stars monopoly in NJ would be good for the players.

They're using you guys just now to beta test the site and build a player base which is why they're communicating freely and pretending to be the "old Pokerstars" you guys miss.

Amaya-owned Pokerstars are hostile to winning players and barely communicate on 2+2 any more. They're probably still the best option, just know what you're getting in to.

the pokerstars servers are beyond lightning fast. kudos

im not a fan of the betting slider bar. sometimes its too touchy sometimes it seems a bit tight. would be nice if we could get a +/- betting button like some of the other sites have.
