Looks like the leaderboard, at least for cash/zoom games have gone. This is the response I got from the customer service:

"Yes, the leader boards have been removed as they will be replaced by another offer. For now, I simply cannot give you more information on this as we haven't received specific details, but I am sure it will be for the best."

I'm sure it will...

Less rakeback for us for sure. The leadeboards were luck based but sometimes they gave a nice prize.

But even without then, i will keep playing Stars I guess.

The zoom plo ones were great for a rec as the number of players was much lower than nlhe. You just needed to play 50-100 hands and, if you were well ahead of expected continue. If not, move to another level. They presumably tried to discourage ppl from doing this by stopping the totals displaying at the table. So ppl had to click on the leaderboard icon (which wasn't up to date).

Payout on Cardex is ridiculously low. Most of the payouts are so low, it's not even worth light-opening or bluff 3-betting a hand that contains a card you need to advance the Cardex.

Effectively, PokerStars is now less or even zero EV for me. I can only think that I'll have to switch sites. The games are pretty tough, so it's no longer worth it to grind. I live in Canada, though not in Ontario with their special PokerStars community. So, it's either switch to MTTs or play cash on another site. Anybody got a recommendation?

Am i out of the loop of something here? I just found out that pokerstars.com players arent not allowed to access the leaderboards now. The support guy told me that pokerstars.com players are not allowed to play it.

Who is allowed to play it then? pokerstars.eu players? How many different pokerstars site are there? Are only europeans allowed to play on pokerstars.eu?

Average EV is $1.2 for completion. If you discount the low probability prizes it is about $1. Which is 10BB in NL10.

Needs to be completed in 5 hands so basically a 2BB each. You can do a lot of crazy things and get away with that when you are subsidized 2BB per hand
