PokerStars Twitter account just come alive with more problems. Seems players trying to log in are getting a "-2/-83" "cannot connect to server message" Happening on .com and .es as far as I can tell.

The advice given in the FAQ does not work (hope you read this thread before wasting your time trying it) and the standard response from PokerStars is to "contact support".

Is Pokerstars UK down today? I am getting an error -2/-83 when I try to load. Tried to download it again, but the server timed out, curious if this is just me or more widespread, fortunately I have the mind numbing task of stripping wallpaper to distract me from play :-(

I had the same problem,opening the application from the pokerstars folder worked for me.

it doesn't let you download the software. I deleted it after getting the -2/-83 error hoping to reinstall it. I haven't been able to successfully download the software in the last 4 hours

I'm having the same problem from Lithuania. Tried two different computers with no luck.

Hi Mike,

This still is not fixed to me. I can log into my PokerStars account via the webpage, but can't download PokerStars as it gets stuck. I uninstalled it after I was having problems connecting as sometimes this fixes the situation. I have also tried reinstalling with an older download I have, and then it gets stuck on the update. I have tried more than one computer as well.

I have had problems like this since PokerStars 7 was launched, but this is the longest I have not been able to log in.

Ive always had the -2/-83 problem every once in awhile with no help from PS except for the reg cut and paste and even if I followed their procedure.

Open C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStarsGl It usually always works for me. Of course you cant do this forever when PS doesnt accept non updated software anymore but by that time, the problem is gone.

On rare super occasions when it doesnt work. I just have to not play for a couple days. Was just way easier than trying to fix it as I already wasted many hours on it trying to figure it out. It has always disappeared after a couple of days.

Ohh great, i just reinstalled my antivirus because when i was downloading software from .eu server it was saying it is malware. I try it on different computer that does not have antivirus program and it cant download it.

Same can be said for updating my existing pokerstars software. Stuck at downloading.

Any ETA whenw ill this be fixed?
