Hey just wondering if there are any currency/ business savvy folks in here that would like to chime in with some predictions about the USD over hte next year

any legitimacy to predictions like that ? I am trying to figure out what to do with my bankroll and the USD just keeps falling and falling.

I'm assuming because you linked to the CAD/USD chart that you are Canadian?

yea man, we have chatted a bit in the taxthread... opps thought it was in my profile, sorry... but yeah i am canadian so i guess i should have been more specific about the US / cdn dollar relationship. Whats your bankroll in Henry?

One thing to consider is that the CAD hit a high of about $0.92 to $1 USD back in November 2007, which was long before quantitative easing started in the US, so I think we test that level in the next year or so. The USD money supply is much larger now so I think it supports an even cheaper USD than it did in 2007.

Another important consideration is who will raise interest rates first. I'm not too sure about that since the US won't do it while their economy is still fragile, but Canada doesn't want to further strengethen its currency since exports are suffering already.
