Having learned my lesson from the last time getting burned on AAPL, I dumped at $160 AH...I hate making posts not at time of sale but I was really busy trading some names and positioning for tomorrow...A lot going on tonight....I am still long RIMM unfortunately and I'll lose a lot there.

WALMART with over 1,000,000 shares traded in after hours..........no movement in the price.

Well I watched it blow through 153 and can't tell if the end is in sight or not. The opening tomorrow may be another bloodbath for tech, guess I'll miss this bottom (whenever it stops falling that is).

I just got back to my desk..............WOW!

Ugly open tomm, but a rally is certainly not out of the question,as the "easy trade" is to sell/short............and it aint that easy!

Lets see what happens by 10:00am

QLGC's earnings went as expected. Now we'll see if it can actually hold it's current level at all or if people will take their profits from the preliminary announcement. If I see some continued strength in a weak market I'll probably look to flip into something else.

BRCM was down another $1 after hours. Not sure about my plan for that one. If it opens at that level I'll be up about 9% in two days on it. Nice considering it accounts for about 80% of my portfolio value ;p

SPG is looking like it's about to head back where it was before the market snorted a huge line of blow last week. Hopefully some sellers come to the market and give it a push over the edge of the top it's looking to make.

Looking for some weakness out of DWA through the end of the week. I'm looking to get out of it pre earnings regardless, but I'm expecting it to simmer to a lower level before I exit.

Feeling good about my overall portfolio.

I have to believe the AAPL selloff is a huge overreaction. I have no position in AAPL, but buying tomorrow A.M., especially if this dip holds at the open, seems very + EV as a swing trade and kind of obvious as a long-term investor (layering 1/3 of your position in tomorrow ala Stephen).

I might go long apple as well.

see how well RIMM, MOT, T, PALM and those hold up and I think there is a huge opportunity to get into some aapl.

also, what are people going to jump into if they really are exiting tech. I read behind financials tech is the worst performing sector. Is it time for energy to have a run again?

I didn't know that the energy run was ever over?

That said, I did get back into COP 1 of my favorites of the year at 82, after holding it from 76 to 93. Still trading at a great valuation.

COP is still WAY Undervalued--several PE pts below XOM with more NATGAS exposure than many other large integrateds

uhmm... look at what oil and nat gas prices did last week....?

I got into CHK and APA last week. Both did well yesterday. I feel maybe energy's run isnt about to "happen again" in the sense that it never stopped, but its definitely off its highs and maybe taking a break to drink a hatorade.

I think we'll see energy + fins do well today, but I think the fins run will be short lived.

What the hell is going on with Wachovia? Posts an $8.9 billion loss, drops 10% and is now up 24% from it's daily low.

just for ****s and giggles while out for beers this weekend we tried to guess the timeline for the end of the bear market.

my prediction was:

run up for the next 2-3 weeks until mid august
mid august until end of september we drift downwards much like early june
we have capitulation next round of earnings in mid october and hit a bottom on the down of 9500
we then go back up and probably hit 15000 by 2011

just sold part of my long term USG as I had too much in them and sold the seagate I bought last week. Still keeping some shares in both but I want money to put into other companies and increase my stake in existing ones

s&p to 1300 and then re-evaluate...I am aggressively buying FWLT here.
07-22-2008 , 05:36 PM
wow wtf got my ass handed to me today

triple barrel bluffed the market on CHK now. Got a bunch riding on Aug60 calls at the moment

decided, once I see how unrational this market is acting towards fins, to play roulette with SKF. bought in when it was -10 points, now down -15 points. Stupid fins posting terrible earnings and shooting up.

nothing else too exciting, dumped some SNE puts, thats about it.
