This thing prints 2.70-2.50 before it ever hits 4.00 again, if it ever hits 4 again. I'd take zero before 4.
If your still looking short.. You can enter at 3.44 (it's at 3.46 right now)

Stop at 3.53
Profits target: 3.23 while lowering the stops on the way down.

I'm not in the trade for the record, but right now it doesn't have the volume to go higher. If someone wanted to short it, there is a pretty good low risk entry right here.

If you took the trade at $3.44 (it's at 3.40 now) you can even lower your stop to $3.45 and reduce your risk to 1 cent. You'd pretty much be freerolling the potential for a nice move to the downside

Also it's a short term trade. I'd be out between today's close and 3 days.

You can insert anything you want for the word 'volume' and everything you said still holds true.

For example: 'bananas' or 'bieber' or 'hooblandashnosters'

Doesn't make it true, but it does provide sufficient justification for blindly gambling.

Check the volume for today on a graph. Not much of a bar. Typically when this one moves it's on big volume. This is a slow day for ZNGA.

See what I just posted above and insert anything you want for 'big volume'

Making statements like this doesn't make them true. ZNGA and plenty of other stocks regularly go up or stay flat when volume is/was low.

This is what Strasser was talking about in the TA thread when he said if you ask a TA trader 'why' they cite some other TA rule.

I understand you guys are brainwashed that all these little rules are true - but they aren't. You have a 50/50 shot that ZNGA goes up or down right now if you think 'big hooblandashnosters' is the catalyst. Sometimes you will be right and sometimes you will be wrong, but in either case, the hooblandashnosters had nothing to do with it.

Amber, My post was for Zip, not you.

I made my post at 12:23, 20 minutes before the trade idea even triggers.

Trade triggers at 12:45 and the stock insta-pukes to $3.38 in 20 minutes on over 2 million shares. What do you think dummy: Roulette wheel or did people have sell orders placed below $3.45?

1:00-3:00 no volume and stock price goes nowhere. (Hint it's probably going to roll over again)

I said the flip of a coin was going to be heads because the coin has big hooblandashnosters. I flipped the coin and it was heads! What do you think dummy, hooblandashnosters don't matter?

You're suggesting this is a profitable strategy:

-watch for low volume
-short the stock w/ a tight stop-loss
-profit

The only person that is a profitable strategy for is your broker.

If it were that simple, there wouldn't be any money in it for us, because every hedge fund in the World would have algorithms doing it for unlimited amounts of money.

That is not what I'm suggesting at all.

I'm not going to get into this discussion with you. It's a waste of my time.

I see it I actually think that is a pretty good spot. I wouldn't get in here and would prob be looking for a break of 3.36. I'm not going to make any trades here because I rarely trade individual stocks, I doubt the options are that liquid, and I wouldn't short the stock outright because I don't want to carry the bulky margin when I can short the S&P or buy the ten-year at 10-1 leverage.

I'd hate to be in this thing if they **** the bed in Europe.

This is exactly what you said:

'it doesn't have the volume to go higher, so short it'
'see, it went down - i was right!'

Yeah, I said it doesn't have the volume to go above 3.52 in this trading session. I didn't say that was the only reason to short it. Nor did I say short it 3.46 which is where it was at the time of my post. I said short 3.44.

After Znga bottomed @$3.38, it tried another feeble rally attempt. Where did that rally attempt stall out? Answer $3.44 #roulette

I didn't say blindly watching volume is a profitable trading strategy.

involves something other than TA, gambling is all you're doing. you're just doing it with enough sophistication that you're deluded into believing it's +EV

Feb 5th looks like the last time. So ~May 5th.

If they show a solid profit for the current quarter, it's gonna rain money on that day. OTOH if they backtrack and had a loss, it could go down by 20%+

Last quarter it obviously leaked early and there was a bunch of insider trading, so we'll probably know 1-2 weeks beforehand because it'll either randomly tank or skyrocket on no news.

CIO just quit

imho some iffy internal stuff here. Your CIO rarely jumps like that if they feel great about where the company is going.
