Google Adwords has a keyword tool. It is really meant for PPC not SEO but is very useful. You can sign up for an Adwords account for free and search for keywords to see how often they are searched for. You can also see what the competition for that keyword and the recommended bid you should place.

This is what I use so if someone knows of another one then please let me know.

Google took a pretty interesting step yesterday to kill email marketing. Previously email marketing relied on you loading the ads in the email to know whether you read it/your info/location, etc. Now Google is going to cache all 3rd party images on their own gmail servers...thus severely limiting the utility of email marketing.

Are you talking about, now the pictures just come up in gmail?

this seems BETTER for advertisers? no? I tend to insta-delete a lot of the emails that require me to click "accept pictures from xyz@xyz-company.com" Now, once I open those emails I will see the shiny pictures right away - gotta be good for advertisers.

Sure, they won't know I clicked to "view pictures," but surely increases their chance of selling me something.

We took our Christmas Sweater company on Dragon's Den - the Canadian show Shark Tank is based off of, which is based on a British show, but I digress. We ended up making a deal with Kevin, among other investors, so feel free to ask questions and I will answer what I can as I'm sure the shows are pretty similar.

Sidenote: Tipsy Elves guys are cool, we do business with them.

To clarify one misconception I've seen on this forum, no companies give up equity to the network anymore because Mark Cuban made it so: http://www.inc.com/will-yakowicz/mar...ty-clause.html this is retroactive to any previous seasons as well.

first of all, after watching your episode and seeing how lucrative your business is, i started a rival which will be full force for next season. i apologize in advance for taking some of your business.

secondly, are you able to be honest about your experience with kevin?

i'm interested in hearing about due diligence process. when did you film the show and how long did it take to close? did you get the same people? i remember being surprised that you took Kevin in your deal bc i have read that he delays things in due diligence.

i bought a tipsy elves sweater. it was too small. i called to exchange and it cost me $9 to send the old one back. that's a terrible business model. at this point in time, if your online business doesn't include a return slip with the receipt, gfy.

i did find a 20% coupon code to offset the cost, but still, that's a joke.

how much contact did ou have w/ kevin once the show was over ? was he helpful at all ?

also not sure if canadians dragonn den is as popular as the us version, but what kind of jump in sales did you get after the show aired ?
