Hey Guys,

I recently passed the Series 7 (78%) and am currently sponsored. For the past week I have been studying for the Series 63 and seem much more worried about this than I was for the 7. NASAA raised the minimum passing grade to 72% at the beginning of the year, lovely.

I've been taking practice exams through the STC and getting right around 70% or so. After I do this then I am done for securities testing for a while so I just want to make sure I get this hammered out and we are good to go!!!!

I was just wondering what kind of tips, tricks, hints, guidance, or any suggestions as to how I can pass this bastard of a test it would be really, really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The 63 was easy- I spent 1 day studying for it. r u serious?

lol...well im just concerned that since there isn't as much leeway with this i might miss more than allowed...just dont wanna fail man

read the questions carefully as the 63, 3 and 7 for my mind required more knowledge of the way they try to trick you than the knowledge of the legals/markets etc

Pretty much agree with this. The test was worded in a somewhat awkward manner/legalese type manner when I took it. Studied one day and passed so it can be done. Just read carefully.

yeah it's really a matter of test-taking skills. The information is kinda straight forward and they want to make it difficult so they just ask the questions in a somewhat ambiguous and difficult way. read the questions twice, read all the answers, re-read the question again and then start thinking of answering the question

test was really easy...85%....thanks for the advice guys!!! now im finally registered and everything...ganna start kicking ass =P
