My wife and I are thinking about opening a coffee shop/children's play-place and I was looking for advice from someone who might have done this before.

The business idea is to have a place where stay-at-home parents can come and get some work done or get out of the house while allowing their children to play in a temperature controlled, safe environment. Currently, in the heart of the city where I live, there are no indoor play-places for children that I know of, and as a stay-at-home dad, I've certainly looked.

Our main concern is that we don't know what we don't know yet. So, I'm looking for some advice on things to look out for, to be aware of, and things that we might be overlooking when it comes to opening a brick-and-mortar location.
