Hey doing a research project for school and I would appreciate any help in finding low-profile/budget businesses, looking for ones that revenue doesn't exceed 1.5mil.

If anyone knows some sites/where I could find these I would greatly appreciate the help.

internet marketing if you're in that kind of thing... It's pretty much no cost to start and low-budget when you're growing. It can scale pretty big though...

A cap of $1.5 million is pretty high and would include most small businesses. What's the nature of the project? What do you need to know about the businesses?

I'm doing research for a company and they are interested in buying smaller companies with 500k-1.5mil revenues, and I'm looking for a site/any help with finding a directory of such businesses, somewhere where I could look over their basics records and reports from previous years.

Businesses don't just make their financial data available to random strangers and they certainly don't post it on the internet. You have to be vetted as a serious buyer before you'd be showed that kind of information.

Look at the AIM market:
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/c...im/aim/aim.htm

These are London traded stocks with small caps, I beleive the smallest ones listed have <£1m valuation which means their revenue might be less than $1.5m

Wow, it's crazy to think a company with a <£1m valuation being traded on a stock exchange.

Full of very questionable companies from little I know about it. AIM is meant to be a stepping stone to bigger exchanges I think, but it's full of VERY illiquid stocks and dodgy directors. Also spreads are ridiculously high.

Look at this one I bought years ago (I know, lol @ me)
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/e...CDXQ41GBGBXAIM

Bid 0.5, ask 0.6, ~17% spread

Because they are so illiquid and low cap they are susceptible to dodgy goings on. That why I would never invest in a micro cap like this again, there's a lot more security in larger caps where individuals can't influence them so easily.

Yikes. Detailed information is privately kept, but business brokers list some details about industry and revenue. This one is in New York.

Sorry I couldn't offer more.
