The prices people list at rarely drop, vendors are taking much bigger cuts than they were. I was looking a year / 18 months ago and nobody moved from asking price. This year practically the first thing agents would say after telling me the price is "but they're willing to come down".

Properties are also hanging on the market for much longer which means vendors are quite keen (My vendor had an offer at his reduced asking price of X. I offered X-4000 and he bit my hand off because I could close faster).

This. Even ignoring utilities etc that I pay when renting, there's insurance maintenance, and some pretty painful startup costs for furniture / appliances.

There's a 100 quid donkament at the casino tomorrow, might be sold out by now though.

OMFG, How many people from The Isle of Man are there? I was gonna pm Him about the tourney on sunday. I only found out about it today so I wont be going. But there was only 13 seats left yesterday (apparently). Cash game wise. Iv not heard of anything other than the occasional home game with people who have not got a clue.
