Just wondering if anyone can point out some good juniors that you recommend in this rock bottom market. Dont mind buying and holding for few years. I own a large chunk of Goldstrike Resources V.GSR as they have an amazing property and decent results on only 17 holes on a 25 km area property. Any other picks that look promising ?

The rock bottom was 7 years ago.
It has made a pretty decent recovery since then.

i like the general idea.... ala john kaiser `bottom fishing report` where he keeps track of all junior mining companies and watches the very low priced ones with good property, results, projects etc. vs. the ones (most of them) that have little

three comments i`d make:

1) doesn`t seem like there have been that many great discoveries the last 15 years. i think pierre lassonde has talked about it at AMEBC.... maybe we`ve found most awesome deposits with much better technology undertanding the last 30 yeras................... not sure there`s been an amazing discovery since arequipa and aurelian (not sure of exact spelling). arequipa was mid-late 90`s i think.

2) companies that have had good discoveries haven`t performed that well... seems like getting projects into production has become much much more expensive.... i may be mixing reasons but i`m thinking osisko, noront, company that had big graphite property in ontario with cliff resources (old cleveland cliff)....... i may be wrong with my company examples but i think i`m right on the general point... go back far enough and you see diamond fields. what a pain that was. and bre-x would have been a mind-boggling pain if it had been real (already the indonesians were trying to grab most of the economics of the project)

3) large mining companies seem to be more focussed on large, lower grade projects. much more like a engineering or manufacturing focus to mining. sure they`d love medium sized high grade deposits but as i said in point 1 that is very rare..... hence no need for junior mining companies to pass of projects to senior companies.

feel free to correct on any of that... i like the topic... gonna check where tsx-v is relative to its low. i think for the average company things are very very bad right now (arguably worse in some ways that the bottom of the credit crisis i.e. much less cash on hand)
