I'm familiar with the pattern you mentioned but I'm not sure why it's particularly appealing as opposed to other patterns or the ever popular trend following methodologies. What's your background? Are you a successful trader or just fact finding?
I do trade stocks in the direction of the trend. For example I shorted ZTS/ACAS yesterday But I have a slight bias to favor mean reversion strategies given the short term over-extension of the market.
My poker background: Played online professional poker over 7 years 24 table 6max nl player @ stars. Super nova elite. Sunday mill 3rd place in 07. Wsop 13th place in 2010.
Trading back ground: Quit online poker after the fallout of black friday. Decided to transition to trading stocks full time (I enjoy it more by the way). Trading for about 18 months now. I have a series 56 and trade under a prop firm. I do consider myself a "successful trader", given that my results have been consistent and above average. I focus on mainly trading pro/novice gaps and mean reversion items. Mainly day trading for now.
The reason I started this thread is that I am looking to connect with other traders with poker background to share ideas. Most of the traders I know don't have a poker background. Hit me up over the thread or pm if you want to share ideas intraday or post market.
