If you don't know how to play these markets then you don't understand basic economics... plain and simple. As I have been saying, expect a return to fundamentals-based investing.

does the word "morons" above refer to the average wall street hack, or the average blue collar worker who has a family to support but scraped some money together to invest because our government/society promotes it?

My enjoyment from this comes from watching so many people I know who scoffed at my "gambling for a living", while at the same time blindly dumping money into the markets, fall flat on their ass. And call me sick but watching those same people lose half their net worth feels good b/c i can give them that "HOW DOES IT FEEL NOW BITCH??????" stare. Government/society has promoted investing in the markets as somehow being different than any other form of gambling and now its fun to watch them go through the sick variance that many of us deal with on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Yah, but when you lose 50% of your networth its GONE. At least investments have the potential to return all of the value lost without having to work for it.
