I am not smart, and my personal opinion is that a lot of TA is confirmation bias, but even so, it feels like people are just accepting "well of COURSE a speculative crypto currency will behave just like stocks... because charts are the important part here, not any inherent behavior that either of them might have! They both can be put on charts!" is weird.
The psychology of it is very similar, and it seems like a lot of TA is based on psychology and using data to predict how people are reacting to different events. I'm not a TA expert, but that seems like my feelings.

Market psychology is funny. A week ago people fighting to buy ASAP and swearing to buy any dip or hoping for a crash. But when crashes come they pile on to sell at any price.

If we make it to another boom cycle people will wish for these prices when these prices are only available in a panic.

I wonder and am anxious to see what's in store next.

Someone made a comment earlier along the lines of the mt.gox verification queue being large due to those hoping to get verification and cashout after the recent explosion and "correction?" Maybe mt.gox made it through a whole lot of queue today and this is the result? Or maybe I have no clue about the cashout process and what it means to be verified.

Thos who have already sold and are just waiting to get their money out of Gox won't affect the current price.

i think all the "pure gamblers" that had no interest in btc, and only wanted to ride the wave up, are mostly out now. after that initial plummet from 250 to 150 or so, i think the gamblers saw that it can, indeed, go down just as fast as it went up. so its a lot tougher to buy on a dip when you don't think there is a lot of "gamble it up" money coming to pile in right after you. i'm not selling now, but am still watching prices constantly, because i wonder where the bottom is. i thought about trying to sell some more at the 100 level, with the intention of buying back in at some lower level, gaining some btc. to me, it was not worth the opportunity risk in case it does go back up. i was clearly wrong about that, and its looking more and more likely to hit 50 by tomorrow. its pretty crazy to me that literally the day after people started making bets on this, the market crashed.

If the pure gamblers aren't out yet, it won't be long.

A lot of people are involved, with different views. It's still quite possible most of the people swearing to buy on a dip are doing so, or waiting to see how low it'll go. Obviously there are more people selling though.

Will be interesting to see what happens. Price is exactly on my average buying price right now so **** just got serious for me haha. jk I don't own enough to sweat it and I don't even have a method for converting to cash right now anyway, even if I wanted to.

I was hoping bank wires started during the beginning/middle of the decline would start arriving soon and might help prop the price up.
