Bitcoin market is still smaller than the digital gold currency market. The digital currency market though is fundamentally much weaker than the bitcoin network, imo. In this sense i consider bitcoin prices perfectly fine if not way undervalued.

People think bubble just because of what a marginal unit demands but why does that necessarily imply a bubble?

During the mass adoption period, growth and volatility are nearly the same thing.

Sentiments along the lines of, "For Bitcoin to be adopted, it must be stable first," don't make sense because adoption (i.e., demand) drives instability. The sentiment is nearly the equivalent of, "For Bitcoin to grow, it must not be growing."

They are trading at a ridiculous 189 USD which is hilarious for a currency that no one uses.

They are living in fantasy land right now. They don't know if I just made thousands or more off BTC last week and that is why I don't own any right now..but they will say I am a hater of BTC and this is why I say it's a bubble..They don't want to accept the fact that something very odd is going on and just like the article states..this is way to similar to the .com bubble.

This is very true, and I feel bad for those who will hoard until that point.

Thoughts on the possibility that the bubble could get so big that by the time it pops bitcoins would still be worth more than they are now?

Do any sites support this, or would it have to be done via automated trading bot?

According to a MTGox rep, they are working on a stop/loss feature.

edit : looks like they might already have it actually.

stop loss seems to be a bad idea, because of the common weekend drops when no further liquidity (=fiat money) is added to mtgox and the other exchanges.

I think stop loss is a great idea. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be available.

Even if someone could reply to you on this topic, I wouldn't use their answer as some sort of green light to go buy a bunch now.

Haha, I was just doing some blue sky thinking, half the appeal of bitcoins to me are the crazy things that could happen, especially when there's millions of dollars in play. If I was going to buy I would've done so when they were at 74. Grrrrrr, if I hadn't been so busy, I probably would've done, although I would have almost definitely sold most of them when it hit 140, nits gonna nit.

I agree with this. Obv bubble but it seems like we are still in the early to middle stage and have some way to go before the pop.
