Serious pain right now. Every big open has gotten spanked, hoping today is the day the bulls get to treat the bears to some of their own medicine.

What exactly do you believe happens at the big 1:30 repo? I don't have much insight here. You think it rips then?

Emotions are telling me to puke and take the easy profit right now, but everything else telling me we get that 2700.

Given how volatile things are and how it affected market yday, I'm expecting it to be a catalyst to a small rip.

It seemed obvious we would dead cat bounce today and I'm expecting it to taper off a bit till 1:30-2. Then I'm ripping the rest in.

Yeah if you're right on that thesis then daily expiring puts are going to be really underpriced for baggers at the top of that event. Kind of like how yesterday played out after the announcement of trillions in not QE.

Theres also a rumor that NYC is gonna announce a major mass transit change, full shutdown probably not happening, but something should happen today.

I'm expecting mass transit to shut down in several major cities at various points over the coming weeks.

If I'm sitting on cash from shorts in my IB account above the insurance limit, should I be concerned at all about the event of IB going bust? Where should I be parking my cash if so?

The bond market has lost its safe haven bid as rates have started rising and the Fed is desperately trying to keep that market propped up.

The dollar has now caught the safe haven bid but this bid is purely irrational in the face of the Fed printing money like crazy to save the bond market and financial system.

Once all the buyers have come in, we could see a sudden reversal where reality outweighs panic and a flight from the dollar to complement the flight from dollar denominated assets.

When the dollar caps out and starts falling, gold will break out in a massive way as the last remaining safe haven.

I highly recommend buying as much as you possibly can before that happens. The stock market bubble was supported by cheap debt. The debt bubble was supported by Fed bond purchases. The dollar bubble has absolutely nothing below it except faith and when that faith evaporates, the bottom will drop out.

This is what everyone tries to do. It's just very hard.

It's like saying I want to get the most money in the pot when I'm ahead and only fire good bluffs. Very easy to state, but to do it requires a lifetime of practice.

I've never seen **** like this. The selling pressure is relentless. We could wake up monday morning and be down 50%.

I'm so mad at myself right now because I feel like I've traded like **** the last couple weeks, but then I remember I'm a mean reversion trader in one of the most unrelenting markets ever and I'm still up over 100% in two months. Still the frustration associated with this price action has caused me to lose more than I should have. Likely going to watch for the rest of the day.

I'm going to laugh so hard if this market just creeps to yesterday's low or a little under by the close. Then we get good news over the weekend and we gap some absurd amount monday. Low probability but would tickle me pink.

I'm buying CXW and GEO. P/Es are super reasonable on reliable dividends... It's not like the govt will stop paying for the prisons or let everyone out...

Could also get bad news over the weekend, tho.
