How fast poker videos and/or theory die? How fast poker videos and/or theory die?

What is the lifespan of a poker vid given the fast evolution of the game lately? Is there anywhere over the internet a list of sometimes famous & now obsolete pieces of video theory and practice? Is there a list of recommended vids which is frequently refreshed by competent and observant guys?

What stakes is Aejones' Memoirs still valuable at? Given this, is it still worth approx the same it was when first released?
Which is the longest lasting and still valid body of theory, or the longest valid poker trainer?

Someone asked me what I recommend for him to watch/read/study - I had alot of titles in my head but was unsure about almost everyone.

Tx.

Tough question, I'm sure this will bring a lot of debate from the replies.

You can look at some old books, Super System for example, and most people will probably say it's outdated by now, and most people will probably tell you most good videos made in the last year or even longer are still fully relevant, but I'm not sure where that line is in each and every game (or rough line). It probably depends on a lot on which game you're talking about and which coaches/specific videos you're talking about.

Which game was the person that wanted a recommendation playing? That way the responses can be more focused for your purposes.

It depends on your level... some things change very quickly, some things not at all.

That's why it's important to learn to approach poker from a way of thinking instead of a compilation of situations.

If I had to layout some generalities, I'd say that any video over a year old needs to be watched with age in mind. The lower the stakes of the video, the longer it will be relevant imo, but there are certainly no video is immune to age.
