Hello,

I recently got me a NLHE-coach and I would like to know what you, DC users, experiences are with their coach. Or how u guys coach ur students.

I know you can review HH's, you can do sweat sessions.... but...

Q1: About the sweat sessions: normally the coach watches the student while the student plays poker. Is it a good idea to let the coach play and the student watch. So the student can "steal" and learn from good plays, new ways of thinking versus leaks of villains etc.

Q2: Are there other good concepts?

Q3: Any other advice?

thx

sweat sessions are a poor way to coach. too often you get 10 minutes of boring spots followed by 4 things worth talking about all at the same time while still trying to play.

there are many different methods that i use in coaching. it really depends on what we are working on

if you have hired a good coach they should be able to guide into effective methods of coaching. if for some reason they don't remember you are the customer and you should speak up
