As a surprise to no one it looks like they have pushed the software fix until Sept 5th. I log in every day to check on loyalty (Ha Ha) program and to rail high stakes PLO, while I wait for them to fix this disaster. I noticed a deposit bonus dated

Sept 4th through Sept 10th

Since the fix didn't come on the 4th as scheduled, they should extend the deposit bonus until Sept 11. I'm not depositing a damn thing on this site until after the fix and several days to see if fix actually works. Blitz has been launched and then taken down within 3 days so many times it is clear a fix ain't a fix on WPN.

Just found a glitch where I can chat on some tables and not others.

Confirmation. The bots are definitely back. One just won $910 in a tourney recently.

It cannot be emphasized enough that the bots that I discuss are not available on public forums or for purchase by the general public. These crude bots advertised on public bot forums are not affecting the cash game ecosystem whatsoever.

The bots have been back since a couple days after the "upgrade" and are on almost every table of plo25-600 24/7 since they returned. Many tables have 2 or 3 bots.

That is more than likely correct. These bots would get destroyed vs good cash game players.

So if these bots are taking money from recs/fish, that does not affect the poker ecosystem whatsoever?

It does actually feel like something that could be emphasized enough. There are a great many issues that don't directly impact you, or the cash game ecosystem, that are having an impact on many others and deserve to be addressed.

It’s no different than a good player doing it but the bot has advantages like doesn’t tilt, doesn’t get fatigued, doesn’t second guess itself, etc. it lacks all the weaknesses a good human poker player would have.

It did the spinny wheel thing for and then loaded the client eventually. I even get it for the tables too but it plays fine other than the standard garbage software problems.

It’s telling me my password is wrong. Then it says I’ve been disconnected from the server.

I disconnected from Comcast WiFi and used my iPhone hotspot and it came back instantly. There’s no problem with my WiFi. Everything else is working fine. Pretty odd.

+1. Wasn't there talk of separate threads for a few different issues? Botting, new software problems, and general/cash out might be a solid idea and throw rakeback and promotions as well. More and more people aren't searching for their own info because there are too many posts that don't affect certain users.

I just opened the software and everything is working just fine as far for me as looking at the lobby. Tables still seem to take a while to load.

There's already a chashout thread. There are bot threads in mid stakes but there kinda dead. This is the everything else thread. It would be nice to have another thread dedicated to bots tho and studying them on WPN.


I've read a million posts by HOG and other bot experts and I still feel like I know nothing compared to him and others that know what to look for.

Quite true -- a long while ago, I did my undergrad thesis... blah-blah-blah... in short, I chose one of these bots as a starting point (because they are so bad) and employed evolutionary algorithms to breed them into something better (they got better, but they still sucked balls).

You need a simpler model to develop the algorithm. The resources for the neural net would need to be substantial, since there would be multiple interactions, producing more of a neuronal network. Have not see one bot capable of this. Thank god, but obviously this would be more attuned to an academic environment.

I still never got an answer about if anyone that had their points reduced drastically got it fixed. My points are still off by at least 6k. Support is totally useless obviously.

Have you tried another rep, or asked to speak with higher up? Do they have a phone number?

As a few people have already mentioned they are taking advantage of their unaware customers to pay out less for the points through chat. Medals of course are totally inaccessible for nearly 4 months. I have been trying for a few weeks now to get refunded for a hand that I lost on the river when I checked the nut full house to my opponent on the river and he went all in because all of my tables "disconnected" at once. The first rep I talked to said I would be refunded but it was being sent for further review and I would be contacted later (never happened of course). I then emailed support again and was told that I was able to take actions on the hand (LOL!). WPN is a fraudulent operation with piss poor management.
