More rake for the website.

The remaining moss series will be canceled from "DDOS" attacks unless tournaments are hitting the registration numbers they need to avoid big overlays.

Why would they do this you may be thinking? 2 main reasons:

1 - Avoid paying out massive overlays
2 - They're gaining action/rake from promoting the MOSS tournament series even if they cancel the tournament. You have to remember, they've advertised a lot for the moss events, offered deposit bonuses etc.. So, their volume of deposits has likely greatly increased because of the MOSS Series.

How does an influx of deposits benefit ACR? Simple. even if they cancel all of the MOSS tournaments, ACR REQUIRES you to play a certain % of your deposit before you may cash out. That's right, with their withdraw restrictions, you're forced to play and that in return brings them more rake (is better, right?) while dodging the overlays.

sigh, this has really been a nightmare. those first 4-5 moss were nice values. So disappointing.

This is not bc they "fear of massive overlays". This is bc they have a virtually non existent security team.

My fiance is from Costa Rica and knows ppl that work for Winning Poker in San Jose. Its basically a giant **** show down there.

Did you make a deposit for the moss series? Unless you've been playing with an earlier deposit that has already generated ACR Rake you will not be cashing out until you play some games with rake first.

I can never open the client. It pretends its looking for an update then nothing happens.

It's been that way for an hour or so. If you closed the client when it froze you cant get back in. All tournaments were cancelled.

No way that I believe that its incompetence. ACR has been having these issues during huge overlays for how long now? Cyber Security isn't this difficult to acheive, and if thats truly the issue WPN would have invested in fixing this.

There's no doubt in my mind that its intentional. I'm sure they have a player database with statics on generating rake and if specific percentage in a huge overlay tourney's are not players who stay but hit and run, here comes the ddos attacks.

This is 2018, cyber security is huge and costly if it's not there. Do you think ACR would be taking massive losses from ddos attacks constantly due to incompetence if they weren't benefiting from them?

You must be new to ACR if you don't believe this isn't purely incompetence. There is a long list of issues they took years to resolve. These DDOS attacks on the WPN network have happened during the regular times not just during special promotions.

Client running again. No tourneys running, everything refunded. Next tourney starts in 10 min. You will still be registered if you were before.
