I tried to play xbox tonight, got on NHL 20, the entire game my ping bounced from 31 to 1020. Constantly back and forth. Whatever happened with that outage, they haven't fixed it yet.
I also use WOW internet and live in Michigan. My issues started 2 weeks ago and as you mentioned ACR and Global have been unplayable. I can open up the clients but once I start playing there are constant disconnections.
I've been on the phone with WOW probably 7-8 times since then. They had a technician come out to my place as my speed test speeds were slow. I was using wireless for my computer but once they plugged it in with a hard connection the speed test was meeting the expectation. The service member blamed my computer for this.
After he left I tried playing on ACR and Global but still had the same issues. My internet works completely fine on all other sites, just not the poker sites. I then called back and was told that the issue is either my computer settings or the poker sites. After that call I tried running a mobile hotspot from my phone to my computer and I was able to play on ACR and Global with no issues.
I called WOW back again to let them know I could play on my computer with a mobile hotspot but not their connection. This agent said they would need some time to review but call me back within a few hours. When they called back they said that they had created a ticket as it may be an DNS issue which from what I'm understanding is an issue for a specific internet provider being unable to connect to a specific site or application? This seems promising as this was the first time anyone at WOW acknowledged it may be an issue with the connection between WOW and the site. I was told I should receive a call back in 3-5 business days.
I'll provide an update once I hear back from WOW. Has anyone else heard anything?
