I use to use a netspend card for Stars but it got to where that didn't work anymore. I don't want to reload the card with money if it won't work.

Anyone have any luck with net spend card lately?

If not what kind of prepaid cards or gift cards work and where can I get them?

Thanks.
Good timeing. I just emailed carbon support the other day and asked them the same thing pretty much. I copied this straight from the email they sent me.
Credit, Debit or Gift Card
We accept Visa cards online and the minimum deposit is $20. We have the highest success rates in the industry for credit card deposits and we don't charge any fees for funding your account. All cards must be good for both international and online (non-card present) transactions. Do not purchase Green Dot, Visa2Go or Vanilla gift cards which are for use within the US only. Please make sure you activate gift cards before attempting a deposit.

So I would assume that the netspend card is good. But I just asked in general about pre paid CC. So if you wanna play it safe email carbon support. I emailed them in the morning on sunday and got an email back by sunday night so it was pretty quick. thats about all I can comment on for sure. I just loaded some money on carbon like 5 mins ago. Its the first time I did it and it looks like it all went threw. I just laugh cause it seems like they use a shell company to withdraw the money. Tricky lil devils haha

Thanks for the response. So what method did you end up depositing with on Carbon?

"What was your first car?" is a standard security question.

You likely gave them that answer when you signed up for the card/account.

I would think WPN(BCP, ACR, etc) is the best because you can get a debit card from them and withdraw with 3-7 days and also do P2P transfers. i cant deal with waiting 4-6 weeks for withdrawals or the idea that when I win something that I would wait forever and also not have P2P transfers, Carbon has nice graphics and decent Sundat GTDs(smaller than what they used to have) but the fact they have no P2P transfers makes it a no go. Also since I have worked with BCP the CSRs are quick to respond and very courteous..

Hello, I am thinking of switching from lock poker to Americas Card Room or Bovada, I use to play bodog and cashed out a couple times from there but has the cashout policy changed?

Basically.

1. What cashes out better?
2. Do both accept credit/debit card deposits?

Bovada cashes out in about 10 business days. Biggest difference between them and others is the anonymous players.

I'd definitely recommend Bovada over ACR. Waaaaaay more fish in cash games, about the same cashout times (if not better), and I always have a huge hassle with ACR deposits (only site I played at where I actually had to call them and sit on the phone for half an hour -_-).

How about between Bovada and Intertops?

Intertops is better for sure

Yep Winning is great in payouts. But for those who need more traffic/tables Carbon is still the best choice. Their withdrawals take 1-2 weeks for me to be processed and I think it is a good result nowadays.

Bovada is also a good choice. But as it was mentioned above - it is good for those who don't use HUDs and other software.

Lock has lost its reputation imo. Their cashout terms are the real nightmare.

I played for years on Pokerstars for cash. I googled "legal US on-line poker' Friday and came up with several ( to my surprise ). After looking them over I downloaded Carbon and Lock...then I googled some more and found this place.

After reading new posts in forums for them both, I have come to the conclusion it's probably better if I don't make a deposit at either one. I've read several complaints and may have overlooked a 'positive' response about the players issue, but if I have to dig for it, it's probably not there.

Disappointing for a US player, but pleased to find out issues before I gave them any cash.

Thanks for the info.

Carbon is fine. It has it's issues but you will get paid

" It has it's issues but you will get paid ".

Didn't look back to see, but one or both, had 'software' issues. The OP(s) didn't mention what kind of issues. I did read one that said they lost money due to a disconnection, that would never have happened at Pokerstars (PS).

I live in Florida, and the hookey storms here shuts everything down on a regular basis all year long. Usually not off-line for long, 30 minutes to a couple hours.

I'm itchin' to play, but...

There are other options, maybe not so easily apparent.

WPN(ACR, TRUE, BCP) or Bovada is prob your best bet. Revolution(Lock) and Merge(Carbon) both just disappoint all around. Merge has no p2p transfers and can only cash out via check which takes 8-10wks. Lock has p2p transfers but will take at least 2 months for Western Union to cashout or 4 months for check.

WPN and Bovada at least pay out pretty quickly, their traffic/software/tourney shedules are just horrid though.

I went to Bovada from Cardchat ( 'visit site' ). As soon as I landed on it, PC froze up. I use Mozilla and have a plug-in called Better Privacy. It, bovadas on-line site, had 11 LSO's ( super cookie trackers ) dropped on my PC by bovada. Fortunately I was able to get rid of them. Lots of sites will drop one or two, but eleven?

Like??

Living in Jax, I have a local Casino less than 5 minutes from my home. Why don't I go there? On-line, for me, is where it's at...

Pretty sure Zero is talking about Intertops, you would have to contact someone to get you an invite to sign up though. They are the best site on any US friendly network.

I am not sure what you are asking/telling us?

If you are looking for somewhere to play online, then maybe someone will help you out. The current climate is pretty rocky for people from the US. You have 3 posts so you are not exactly a "proven commodity" and may not find help?

Merge first initial check take 8-10weeks but you can stack your checks now so you keep requesting and after the first check if you stacked it your next check comes in 10-14 days and so on.

Maybe, but there is a sticky in this forum where the answer lies. For cash games there are a few good options. I just don't understand the point of the OP and in the immortal words of Spacman Bryce, "I am suspicious"

I guess I just wonder why someone who has not played online for 2 years (BF was April 15 2011) is asking now? What were you doing for the last 2 years?

Of course you are, it's in our blood. I'm also suspicious, that why I came here in the first place. I can't see how that would get misunderstood. As far as the LSO's go, folks who know how they work would understand my concern with a site that wants to track everywhere I, and anybody on my PC go on the net.

I was, and am, looking for advice. Something to hide? Lighten up. I am under the impression this site was here for help/advice??

I belong to other forums and going after folks after their first post generally is frowned upon.

Making someone appear suspicious, at least in my case, makes me suspicious...motives?
