Thank you for pointing this out. I think it might have been merged accidentally into the WPN thread.

We'll investigate.

Mea culpa. It would appear I merged the wrong thread in there and didn't notice at the time.

The thread is partially restored, and I'll be getting more posts moved over there in the next little while. Sorry for the confusion!

I've been ignoring the whole rakeback/bonus idea so far. I have researched the topic here and there, but just end up saying **** it because I dont feel right about what im reading or finding. I dont know anyone who's into poker, I've learned everything from books and internet.

I know theres extra ev in bonuses or rakeback. Just dont really know what to do about it. Is rakeback a thing still? What about weird third party rakeback deals whats up with those? I've never really trusted em seems kinda sketchy. Also bonuses on ignition are only allowed to be played on gambling games and also requires you play 25 to 100x the amount before you can cash.. it seem pretty unlikely that someone could ever get there before the odds take you out. Theres weird little vip loyalty program at some of the sites.. kinda fun the way they format em, but also seems like a good way to distract people from the better options. I recall acr having some kind of choice between rakeback and the vip program they had created.

This has been one of the topics that I've had a hard time finding legit seeming information about online. I never feel right about it. Basically is this something I should be thinking about in todays culture still?? I mainly wanna play live but I also play to play online regularly. I take poker pretty seriously because to me its fun like that.. so any edge or ev is important to me. Thought I would see what a couple humans think googles not solvin the problem. For this example i'm referring to an american player.

Thanks for any response or thanks for just reading even.. cool to see when people have read what you wrote, or learned from it.

plan to play online regularly**

In today's US online poker environment, you should decide on a site, or sites, you think best fit your needs, and then worry about rakeback and/or bonuses.

None, I think. Check out the cash threads for wpn, Ignition and the betonline forums.

Global is easy to deposit with credit card. I’ve occasionally had the charges flagged by my cc and had to call them but it’s remedied within ~15 min. They also give me deposit bonuses.

How do the midstakes games on Global compare to Ignition? 200 or 500nl.

I wonder if many of these sites will stop taking players from Pennsylvania.

I agree with ACR and bots. Totally sucks because it's got pretty good traffic comparatively speaking.

Lately, I have been busy with life thus my MTT skills getting rusty.
I would like to play some 10-50$ MTTs online to keep me fresh for WSOP and some local mid level events 400-1500$.

It appears my choices are ACR/WPN and Bovada/Ignition. Which one would you recommend?

I've just given up on ACR today because I honestly feel there's enough funny business going on that I can't suck that bad with the 15 years of playing winning (reflected on Hendon Mob) poker. So that leaves one to choose Ignition or Bovada which kind of takes going over sessions to improve leaks out of the equation. I want to know where to go online where while living in US but not subject to limitations of the few states have legalized it. I'm in MN.

Um, if you don't do the re entry tourneys, then you can go over hands in pt4 to improve leaks. However, there are very few tourneys at 400 and 1500 level on these sites, if any. Haven't even seen a 500 tourney on ignition unless they are running some sort of series.

PS, I don't have my tourney settings to show these tourneys.

I play 400-1500$ MTT live so equivalent online would be 10-50? I was leaning towards ACR due to availability but with bad reviews, I don't know...

ACR has the best guarantees and number I'd say, but the software and botting has turned me off that site. Bovada has a good number of tournies and guarantees with a softer field. Global has a lesser selection/guarantees I'd say, but they still run a Sunday $25k and $50k and seem to run a tournament series quarterly.

My PT4 says I have about 65k hands since August playing 5NL, 10NL, 25NL 50NL with a mix of fast and normal tables between Ignition and ACR with about 80% - 85% of hands played on Ignition.

I might be biased, and based on these numbers, clearly, I must prefer Ignition over ACR for some reason.

When I anecdotally reflect on the hand sample listed above, it does seem that the games are generally softer / easier to beat on Ignition when compared to ACR. I know ACR got lambasted for all these bot problems which might be why I think this and/or play mostly Ignition cash.

Does anyone else have thoughts or opinions on playing micro cash between Ignition and ACR in terms if one site is generally tougher than the other? Any reasoning regarding why a disparity may or may not exist?

Um, you have the percentages, but what are the win rates of each site, profit with rakeback on ACR?

More comparison needed. Do you use hud on both sites?

I am a small loser across ACR games and a slight winner across Ignition games. I use a HUD on both sites.

The stats/numbers I provided were more for context to get a sense of what games I play and amount of volume. My exact win rate aside, I was mostly curious if others playing micro cash games between theses two sites had experienced/perceived a difference in skill level/difficulty.

Hi - I am hoping someone could give me some insight into the great hassle that is online poker in 2019.

I am a serious part time player. I would like to be able to start at the microstakes, improve and move up. To do this I assume the best way is to play on a site that allows HUDs, use the info to study, etc.

The issues: I am a Mac user an I live in the US. I most recently played on Sportsbetting.ag and used iholdemindicator, but that program is pretty limiting, and apparently it needs a "new patch"(not sure what this means) to work with the latest update to my Mac(catalina).

So I am looking for a new plan. I am ok spending some money to get set up properly but really would like to keep it in the under $500 range if possible. It seems really hard to find a site that allows HEM2 or PT4 in the US for a Mac user. If this is easy to do I'll do that as option #1. But really the main thing is finding a way to play on a decent site with good game availability(NLHE micros are fine for now), that allows HUDs where I can track and evaluate my play. Hopefully this is the right place to ask these questions. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I don't use a Mac so I'm not sure about what all programs are compatible. Have you considered something like Parallels which creates a virtual machine inside your Mac that can run Windows?

Yes that is one route I'm considering going.

Hello all,

I am looking into getting back to MTTs. I live in the US and was wondering what are the best sites for this? I used to play a lot on PS and Full Tilt back in the day. What are some good places to play? Looking to play small buyins anywhere from $1 to $20 . I know that WPN has some issues with BOTs, I just wanted to hear from you guys . I plan to use HM and play at least one or 2 tourneys per day. Just want to find a place that is worth my money.

thanks in advance

You should read the first post, and if you have further questions, it would be helpful to know where you're located.
