What are the best/favorite US sites and why?
Pros?
cons?

Currently I play on Bovada but I'm looking for a site to use a tracker with fast/safe withdraws and can still offer good volume

Play NL cash up ro 10/25
limit cash up to 25/50
SNG up to $7
MTT up to $10

Crosspost from the Taiwanese Travel thread:

I'm having a pain in the ass getting verified to play on stars in Taiwan.

I've shown them every document I could get the bank to give me, all having my name and address, but apparently they need a date of issue too? I even show checkbooks with the stamps showing the date they were issued, as well as pictures of my UID registration (needed for non citizens to open a bank account at all) with the date of issue, and even my visa stamp on my passport showing I came on the 28th.

Wtf? Any other Americans playing in Taiwan able to help me out?

Your two most likely candidates are Merge and Winning Poker Network based on all of the conditions and games you listed.

Hello, I am looking for some advice on which site would be the best for me to play. I am currently playing on Bovada but think maybe I should switch to another site. This is what I am looking for:

rakeback- I am going to put to try to put in 100k hands at 6 max 25 NL so I feel like I would be throwing a lot of money away by playing this many hands on Bovada

reliable payouts- and also they accept netspend cards

no table limits- basically i want to play more than 4 tables which i cant do right now on Bovada i am trying to play 100 k hands this will take a really really long time playing 4 tables.

Also soft games would not be bad I heard bovada has by far the softest games.

So is Bovada my best option or is there another one that would be better? Or maybe play at Bovada and also at another site? I dont know if people do that or not. I am in Tennessee. thanks for your advice

America's Cardroom or Black Chip Poker would be better for that kind of volume because there are no table limits... Bovada has more traffic but that will only help with game selection since you can only play 4 tables... also WPN (the host network for ACR/BCP) does have a rakeback program but if you rake enough their VIP system is supposed to be better

Merge's rake is too high for NLHE cash games, so maybe you should scratch them off your list.

You have two choices for flat rakeback in the US market. WPN and Revolution. Any network, world wide, offering high rewards will have tougher games than sites that do not. It's simple poker economics at play.

Just put some money on my Netspend card. I'd like to play Hyper Turbo sng's (heads up and multiperson) micro and low stakes.

Would it be best to play on Carbon or Black Chip?

Thanks!

Carbon probably has more action. BCP will have superior rewards.

The Delorean flux capacitor can get you back to where you want to go, or you could give either Bovada or black chip poker or carbon poker a try.

I'd have to give the tie break to Bovada though for softest players of the three. Black chip pokers network allows huds, so your at a slight disadvantage there if you don't use one. Carbon poker does have good software for playing, when they aren't breaking down. All I want to say about them is that it's a very unique players experience that does not suit everyone. You may have a game style that fits right in over there though, if you are patient.

Lol I thought that might be coming "are you stuck in 2006?"

But, anyways I'll probably go bovada.

Thanks guys

Good afternoon everyone. I am looking to deposit on the Bovada site and my only deposit option is a Visa card option. Can someone give me a little detail on the best way to get a Visa prepaid/gift card that is compatible with the site?

Your bank issued debit card will possibly work. I have a bank that's 5 letters long and it works for me.

It used to go thru before the fraud? texts started coming in. Last time about a week ago (Haven't made a deposit in quite some time) it got denied first then after responding to fraud dept. It went through.

Otherwise check out the Bovada thread for the prepaid info.

Seems like Merge/Carbon players in NY are having issues, some accounts being closed. :/

Well that's not good. Any specifics (city, date it was closed, etc)?

This is something I hadn't realized before... but Winning Poker Network, Bovada, and Equity have the lowest rake for US players. 5% up to $3.00 (this is assuming you're playing at least 50NL... Bovada caps at $2 for 25NL and under, Equity actually charges 10% for 10NL and under)

As players it's our duty to support the sites that give us the best deals... so IMO stay away from Merge! 5.5% rake. Juicy Stakes also is over 6% rake...

As much as I miss playing on Merge they have really turned the ship in the wrong direction.

Unless you're a tournament player on Merge. Some folks do play tournaments mainly. Playing a mega deep stacked- 15,000 chips- 15k gtd tourney right now. Just sayin...
