What are peoples thoughts on challenges that affect game play?

Personally I think gameplay shouldn't be persuaded by the site, and challenges work well as just fun things to look out for, ie keeping an eye out for 3-heart flops etc.

I kind of think challenges such as '3bet here', '4bet there', and 'fold this preflop' alter the game.

I suppose my reasons are:
1. Poker is about reading players patterns and reasoning so this purposefully throws a spanner in there
2. It can cause people to spew off where they wouldn't normaly (sounds good but spewing isnt good for anyone in the long term).
3. It can force players to make better decisions, whats the difference between that and a little dialog-box popping up saying 'pssst 3bet aces on the button'.

I just feel the site shouldn't be directly influening play like this.

I like that there is a mix of "wait for the cards" and "do this" type challenges,
The "do this" type have made me find the positives of doing certain actions.

Sometimes you can get stuck on the "waiting for the cards" type but with the "do this" type you can influence the time taken to complete it.

I would also prefer only challenges that require getting certain cards, but I guess this is for the overall good, to make players explore other ways of playing.

To make another sportsbook freeroll we need some work done on Unibet's side. I'm not sure what the ETA is, but these things tend to be pretty slow. To make another double trouble I'd like to wait until we're bigger. I don't think it's good to reduce the payout for the tournament if we can avoid it because most people won't realise there're now two of them, particularly at first.

Ideally, I'd first like to make it so that these tickets last a week from login rather than two days. Then I'd like them to credit regardless of the day of the week. And finally, I'd like to mail players on a Tuesday to remind them that they have the ticket.

That way, we should get more entrants, which increases the value of the tournament to us. When that happens, it's much easier to add a second one, or to add 50% more money and split it over two tournaments etc. I don't know how practical those changes are yet, but it's what I have in mind.

I like Challenges that make weak players play a bit better, but the problem is that there're some people who are much better and some are much worse at completing these faster than the "stand by and wait" ones. I'd like to keep some kind of mix, but I think we'll remove or cut down some of the easiest to take advantage of.

I think that it's a good thing to have challenges like this so far, it's up to player if he wants to speed up his challenges by most likely loosing some money cause he 3bet/4bet hands that shouldn't do, they are good for game overall, and if they do it little faster then others it is fine for me, let them have slightly better RB.

I'm pretty sure that makes game more interesting, you can ask yourself why did he do that, maybe cause he has challenge or maybe he is just a bad player, If you cut down those challenges there will be much less guessing.

I watch the discussions from this thread for months, due to the fact that I play regularly on Unibet. The field is great, games are pleasant but the soft is really terrible, In the morning especially or even at noon (Europe time) there are many issues (such as today is impossible to log in...yesterday it was the cashier issues...and so on...). Lately it is obvious that the traffic on the website has raised largely, this could be the reason for so many technical issues?

As reported in this thread, there were login problems with the main Unibet site. It wasn't a poker problem per se, but obviously poker client needs to talk to Unibet when people need to login. I was at lunch or I would have posted at the time.

I don't think this is true though. There are of course technical problems from time to time, but that isn't because of "terrible software", and it's nothing to do with growing bigger. Our biggest peaks during milestones are much bigger than our day to day peaks, and we were fine during those hands.

The problem today was due to Unibet's overall software, rather than anything to do with poker. I don't think we've had a poker software crash in many months, except for DDOS or similar.

I don't think anything was broken yesterday. Australian customers had cashier problems is the only global thing I see, and that didn't affect poker.

My question regards my First Deposit Bonus.

The website says that i need to "invest" 1.875,00€ in Casino or 2.625,00€ in live Casino to redeem the Bonus.

I am playing Poker cashgames and i still redeemed 0 percent of that Bonus.

I think antes for all cash games woud be a good idea as it discourages nitting, rewards looser play and increases variance. With the current standard structure I think its quite easy for regs to nit up and print money from new-loose players which makes for very boring games. Its the reason I havent played a stars cash game in years.

Bootcamp Feedback
Maybe it's just me but I haven't found navigating around the bootcamp promo too user friendly. Tbh this is the first month Ive participated because of this. The things ive found difficult are:

1. Finding my score, it took me a few times to realise you have to close and reopen the platform to see it, and even then its just momentarily in view. Before I was trawling through hundreds of names on 4 different leaderboards.

2. There's nowhere I can view my score easily, or my place on the leaderboard.

3. The leaderboards page is marked numbers 1-4 but no dates are given on this page, its difficult to know which leaderboard to look at.

4. No notification when hitting a big score. Wasn't sure if the system acknowledged the score and have no way of checking.




I think it would make the promo alot clearer if:

1. The leaderboard page also displayed the player's score (player being logged in already and score updated regularly)

2. The leaderboard page either displayed dates for the current leaderboard or highlighted the current leaderbaord in player

3. Highlight the players position on the leaderboard.

4. Implement a clear and visible link from the platform to leaderbaord page.

5. Players notified of big score jump at the table (same as when a challenge competes), ie hit straight flush. Then players can check their notifications and see what big scores they got in a session.

6. Notifications of completing a bootcamp challenge more specific. ie 'Bootcamp Challenge - 20bb in banzai achieved' instead of just 'Bootcamp Challenge achieved'
