[Unibet] Official Thread
but pretty sure you cant do a mix of cash/tickets.
already fixed.
I have two days left on my welcome bonus and I'm soooo close to releasing the 80 but won't make it. Any chance of getting this extended a bit? Thank you so much if possible.
Hi Andrew,
Could you please change my 4x€5 Banzai NL5 tickets into 20x€1 SNG?
Alias: WhiteWolf5
Thank you!

Sorry but what is the banner supposed to say then? "You can win a million! But most likely you will win 10k. And to be honest, most likely you will not win at all. Actually you will likely lose money if you come"?
I actually was in a milestone hand and folded. It was at NL25 and I won 30EUR by foldind. Priceout projection for me was 150EUR I think. So that's what I would have gotten had I won.
I folded 52o or something like that utg. There's so little time to decide and with that crap I thought it would be close so took the less variancy way and took the free 30 EUR.
But the EV-stuff is interesting. Let's see.
It was a six max full table but I don't remember the stacks so lets say six full stacks. And I'll leave the rake out cause I'm lazy.
Folding = 30 EUR
Shoving and losing = -25 EUR + 30 EUR = 5 EUR
Shoving and winning = 150 EUR + 5x25 EUR = 275 EUR
Likelihood of winning = 52o vs five random hands = XX... damn... My super hyper power pc can't calculate this with PokerStove
This was anticlimatic... I'll just leave this here if anyone want's to and can do that math. Lol.
But if my EV vs 5 randoms is less than 11 % then I'm right folding. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Whats less variance of folding when you can win Atleast 5 euro instantly by shoving all-in?
Plug in your 52o vs 4 random hands (=all hands 4 times) and you'll see equity is still decent enough to not lay your hand down
Sorry for not catching up with the thread while in Cannes, hopefully I'll get it all done today.
I'm sure you know them all well now, after being glued to the stream the last few days?
Not needed now I guess?
Sure, done.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, I hope you didn't withdraw everything!
Yeh, gamer SNG went pretty well. Almost 14k peak viewers is great, considering we aren't on very often yet.
Yeh, a guy at NL4. He also only won with a pair. It was a bit disappointing really, and it sucked that it happened at the same time as UO Cannes so a lot of players couldn't take part, but the month has been great otherwise.
There're still a few milestones to go at least!
Sure, done.
For 200m (and 100m) it had to be done by hand. It was done the next day, so all should be fine now.
OK, done.
Queued bonuses don't expire. I can cancel the welcome bonus when you reach the last step if you like.
Cool, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the site.
If you have any ideas for Challenges, let me know. As you correctly figured out, I like using them to teach people to play a bit better because I think the way to get people to play poker for a long time is to show them some of the strategy that makes it a skill game. Some of them are a bit exploitable at the moment though, which I don't like as much.
When we made the poker client a couple of years ago, we knew we wanted to have milestones as a promotion. So the client purposely saves hands that end in 00000, and waits until a cash hand starts.
So if we're on x999 and the server needs to deal a tournament hand, it will deal it as x001. Then when the server needs to deal a cash hand, it will go back to x000.
Note that we deal hundreds of hands per second during milestones, so it isn't possible to take advantage of this.
Sure, done.
Thanks, and yeh, it was great that everything worked this time. It's just a pity that it was during UO Cannes and near the end of the month or we'd have had a lot more traffic.
Imagine if it had been on the 25th this month - Swedish payday, Friday, everyone's back from Cannes, biggest promotion of the year (so far), etc. Oh well. 300m maybe (or 333m...)
The reduced table cap made a big difference too of course, but I'm taking that as more of a positive.
I think we have a general problem in that we can't easily communicate with players via the client sometimes. This is also a problem with things like server restarts for releases or maintenance. I can post it on 2 + 2, but that isn't much use for 95% of our players. We definitely need a better system for the next promo like this.
Yeh, bad timing with Cannes. As I believe is mentioned later on, milestones are still going though. We're only half way through.
Good idea, hopefully we can get this for next time.
We wanted to do this, but it's against the terms of our Danish license. Players have to know what they're betting for. I wanted to make it a "notional all-in" where it didn't cost any chips to be all-in during milestones, but that was too hard from the server side. Maybe for next time...
Yeh, I think a notional all-in would be better.
Yeh, OK, done.
Sure, done.
Yes, you still get the loser's share.
I don't like this either, but marketing managers do and I don't want to over rule them unless I really have to. If you say "up to €1m" it isn't technically false advertising though.
Our expectation in that hand is a bit under €100k, but I don't think that's much of an advertising message. I don't mind putting that on promo pages though, perhaps we should for next time.
The multiplier tab for milestones does work in this way, but I agree it would be better to show the actual monetary amount instead. We can do that for next time.
This is a perennial problem. It isn't very obvious that seeing more flops is good for the amount you win. I think we need a way to make this clearer somehow.
The good thing with milestones is that there's a long time between them, so we have a higher chance of making changes. I agree that it's fun to rail those hands on PS, but we don't have chat so it's a bit less exciting.
It's certainly one form of marketing, but I prefer finding ways to make the message about it being in both of our interests if you do abc. That's how we tend to do most of our promos.
Sure, done.
Sure, done.
The tourney lobby kind of sucks at the moment. ETA 5 weeks until the new version is released though.
The normal workaround to this problem is to close the lobby and then rejoin it again from the main one.
Is this for http://www.unibet.com/ ? Do you still have this problem?
165 flops is 100% rakeback for the duration of the ticket. If we reduced the hand requirements then the ticket would be > 100% rb but almost nobody would notice, so they'd be upset that we're reducing rewards.
Secondly, I'm travelling to Cannes tomorrow so I probably won't be on 2 + 2 much. But tomorrow we'll have a live Gamers SNG on Twitch from 4pm CEST. The participants will be:
Kevin “Rotterdam08” van der Kooi
Jeffrey “Sjow” Brusi
Jorien “Sheever” van der Heijden
Vitalii “v1lat” Volochai
Giacomo “Socke” Thüs
Richard Lewis
Yoan “ToD” Merlo
Shaun “Apollo” Clark

Andrew, whenever you have time, can you change my 5e banzai NL5 ticket to 4e + 1e sng tickets?
Also, I don't know if you can do anything with tickets that have some playthrough but I'm never gonna play my 10e NL4 ticket through so if you can change that to 2x 4e SNG tickets and the remainder to 1e sngs for total 10 eur or 11e something if you credit what i have won on that ticket too. Or you can change it to anything but NL4 or banzai ticket. Or not credit me, that's good too and I understand

Two more questions: do those queued bonuses expire? And if I want, can you cancel the remainder of a welcome bonus when I have the last step left? I have to suddenly work a lot for the next two months and I'm pretty sure I won't reach the last step anyway so I'll be missing bonuses I would make. Or can that be queued too maybe? Don't do anything about this yet, just asking at this point.
And lastly, after a week and a half the site is really nice! The challenges are great and make the playing really a bit funner to a bit more experienced player too. Trying to complete them as fast as possible breaks a routine and makes me sometimes think of stuff in a new way (of course you can't affect all except with volume). And what's even more important, they are often designed so that they teach new players (fold Ax trash utg, 3bet from the bb etc). Some may disagree, but if they learn a bit, they will play longer and tell their friends how fun Unibet is (maybe, hopefully). Those things won't make them winning players alone so the winning regs won't really be affected even if those guys learn a bit. So I believe.

it seems that folding is actually the wisest decision in most situations, but as I said, people usually don't know about their chances and winnings, they just see their table got selected and automatically go all in hoping for that max amount on the banner..
I know I was surprised with my reward which was 5x smaller than on the banner, but, I'm happy anyway for getting anything at all

it's kkkkk14
Hi Andrew, could you please convert all my tickets into bonus? Thank you, alias is gooddaylol.
As for iGame, apparently I should not have been talking about it, so I'd better keep details to myself for now, insofar as there are any.
Sure, done.

But during milestones, the total limits are 10 (not 12). We couldn't fix the bug without a client release though, so it's going to be inaccurate all month.
Need to run good and play good, these tickets add action and money back into the game and give you a free shot at cashing it out.
I've already cashed one out and frequently see stacks of €50+ at banzai tables so isn't that rare to complete 165 flops off of a fiver.
Good luck!

Another suggestion about miletstone,
Anyone else feel it would be better to include ALL of the previous 100k hands in the multiplyer instead of just hands played in the last hour before a milestone? Reasons being:
- Kind of sucks to see your multiplyer reset or dropping when you play longer than an hour, or have break.
- Incentive for players to play all the time as oppose to just in the last 10000 hands

Am I the only one who hasn't got any tickets from the stream yet?
I haven't credited them yet. I have the chat logs but I don't know which keywords were which ticket. I don't really want to just do NL4 tickets for everyone on the list because it's hard to tell who is just spamming and who won tickets on different days. So I'm waiting for people to be back from Cannes.
hi andrew,
i think i won a twitter comp but i havent had confirmation. my twitter name is @phil10220. can you please let me know if i did indeed win.
thanks

Hey Andrew. Will there be qualifiers for the Unibet Open Antwerpes?
I mean, qualifiers for just the buy-in of €1100, not the €2000 package. I think alot of Belgian and Dutch players would be interested in this

uh wow, was in panic when I logged in and all my alias and tourney tickets were gone. After relogin both showed up again
Andrew,
Could You extend my double-trouble ticket?

Hi Andrew,
I'm a little bit confused about the challenges. I've read examples of them like "fold Ax trash utg, 3bet from the bb etc" and in these examples you have to do something to complete them. You have control. But my current challenges are: Major challenge: "Reach a flop where the cards add up to 26 or more. Jacks, queens, kings and aces don't count."
Minor challenge: "Be dealt a pair, then the next hand be dealt a higher pair."
My first minor challenge was "be dealt an offsuit hand, the the next hand be dealt the same suited hand (maybe not the exact wording of the challenge). For all of these challenges I have very little to no control. Are the challenges somewhat randomly assigned to players? Am I just very unlucky to have gotten three of those particular challenges in a row?
Apart from being unhappy with my challenges I very much enjoy playing on Unibet. You brought the fun back to playing poker for me! Before I started playing on Unibet I couldn't imagine playing without a HUD nor playing 6max. And here I am now playing every day if I can manage it with my work. Thank you!!!

Hi Andrew,
I have a double trouble ticket this week but unfortunately something has come up so I won't be able to play it. It would be great if you can extend it to next week.
Alias: Jugador
Thanks

Quite enjoyed Cannes, then again it helps a lot that I actually speak French fluently Was my first Unibet Open and hope more will follow.
how many tickets were you giving out for the 10k freeroll this week? (max. entrants)
Hey Andrew
I was wondering, Ive been playing quite some time now on Unibet on about every limit, but is it possible to tell me how many hands Ive played on 4nl and how much profit? Or just the bb/100.
My username is waffeltje.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Andrew, my welcome bonus is about to expire - I thought they lasted 3 months not 2 months. Any chance of an extension?
Also a question about the challenges. Are the points awarded basically saving up (the equivalent of) FPPs as you play cash and then releasing them in chunks as challenges are completed, or do you potentially score more points by adapting your style of play to the challenge? I was thinking particularly of the "3-bet preflop then flop an overpair" - if it was actually an incentive to 3-bet with hands like 88+ or if it just means you finish the challenge more quickly but getting fewer points.
