Are you sure you aren't timing out on one of the tables? If you do, it'll start sitting you out on all of them.
It's intentional that it happens on all tables at once because we wanted to make it harder for people to abuse sit-out to table select. It's not a perfect solution though.

Thanks, do you know how long it takes between the notification and the Challenge section updating? As far as I know, it's meant to update every few seconds but I think that sometimes it's taking a lot longer.
