Hello, everyone,
Apologies for the delayed response. Instead of going back and replying individually I’m going to touch on the main topic points that I’ve missed.
Regarding tikmassy...While I don't have any insight into this specific situation, I know we don't take decisions like that lightly. In fact, I believe this is the only situation where we have asked a player to leave the site except in situations related to responsible gambling or clear fraud. Tikmassy, if you think we were wrong here and/or want to discuss this further, please get in contact with us directly.
Anonymous Tables and our decision on removing HUDs and screen names:
We wanted to focus on creating an easy, fun experience for all players while also leveling the playing field for everyone. We chose to remove the use of HUDs on Run It Once Poker, due to the unfair advantage pros have via HUDs. As Phil mentioned in his post: #2: Laying the Groundwork, we knew no matter what we decided on HUDs, many of you would be disappointed.
In order to effectively eliminate the use of “illegal HUDs” we chose to create table aliases to prevent users from compiling and analyzing hands you’ve played with a specific player. The use of table aliases also eliminates bum-hunting and tables closing once a specific player leaves the game.
To compensate for the lack of HUDs, we created our Dynamic Avatar system, that categorises players into 7 playing styles based on preflop statistics from the current table session.
Although we don’t have any immediate plans for making adjustments to our current features, I’ll share your feedback and concerns with table aliases and dynamic avatars with our team. We hope you’ll keep an open mind to our decision and continue to explore our games before ruling out Run It Once Poker due to these features.
Additional note, we do plan to add a screen name feature when we add our High Stakes format, but this won’t necessarily transcend to lower stake levels. We’ll release additional information on our plans for this in due time.
Tracking Splash The Pot Results
I see a few users are wondering if they’ll be able to track the money they won via Splash The Pot. Once hand histories are available for download, all previous hands played will be able to be downloaded and players will be able to determine the amount of money they’ve won via Splash The Pot. The added value from STP will be included in the HHs. We’re hoping to include downloadable hand histories in our next software update, and we will let you know accordingly.
Difficulties with our software
For users experiencing crashes and disconnections, we’re sorry you’re having these troubles. If you have potentially lost funds due to these experiences, please email
support@runitonce.eu (if you haven’t already) and provide as many details as possible on the situation. Date of the crash, time of the crash, game type, stakes, hole cards, actions, pot size, etc are all helpful. Our team will review and award funds appropriately.
We know crashes and disconnects lead to poor user experience, but please stay patient with us. Our team is working hard to improve the stability and performance of the software as well as fix a variety of known bugs.
For those of you who have had issues, it would be extremely helpful if you could provide feedback after future updates to let us know if things have improved for you. We do a large amount of testing internally, but we can't reproduce all situations that our users face on varying hardware setups and network connections. The feedback given to help us improve our product is always appreciated.
We appreciate all the comments, feedback, and suggestions. Thanks, everyone.
