New to the forum any guidance will be appreciated! So we run poker room.. on poker Bros but we are out of Texas .. we are trying to get as legal/ Grey line Legalized as possible… so when Uncle Sam comes around for his taxes.. we can properly account for everything… so my questions??

Ooooh this is a sticky situation you've found yourself in. I would strongly recommend to not try to claim pokerbros action as legitimate business income and keep records of the activity you do with the union and players. The only part thats really illegal in online poker in the US is processing payments. Thats why pokerbros(its actually ThinkLean LLC now that is the software developers that created pb. Im pretty sure on the Think Lean part but maybe not) says that they do not support real money gambling and its just a play money app. As a company they only make money thru the app store and their bulk diamond sales. All union stuff they somehow think they can reasonably say they had no knowledge it was for real money. But point being processing payments, i.e. getting venmo , zelle, paypal and then giving chips or to settle a tab is the action that is explicitly illegal. I would strongly suggest meeting with your partners and restructuring to be much more stealth and not using any personal or business accounts that tie directly to you for transactions. Have players bring cash and payout that way would be the safest bet.

Thank you so we don’t have any of our account setup at business accounts… they are all personal accounts that we use … to keep us under the radars… we are just a local club in our city … Thank you for that information seems like there won’t be a real Legal way to run it then out Texas …. I was asking all this because we wanted to make small advertising maybe radio ads and such…

So I have talk to one here in town but it’s all so new no one around here really has any information … anything other info would be helpful.. I can’t be the only club in this situation 😂
