I know it is my first post on these forums. Been an avid reader and never had a reason to post until now.
Just want to let you Party Poker players know that you should be cautious when playing qualifiers / freerolls as apparently they do not honor certain wins.
During their recent pokerfest events they had a freeroll running for entry into the main event #72. A seat worth $200.
I was fortunate enough to win this freeroll on two occasions. On my 2nd win I contacted Party Poker and asked what will happen with my 2nd ticket. I was informed by not one but two agents that the 2nd unused ticket will be converted into tournament dollars once the event is over. They also directed me to a link on their website that states if you win more then one entry to a tournament that the amount will be converted to tournament dollars.
Excited and happy that I not only get to play in event 72 but will also be receiving $200 in tournament dollars afterwords I could not wait to play the event.
My excitement quickly turned into disappointment as after the event finished my 2nd token disappeared and a zero tournament dollar balance. Contacting them I was informed they made a decision that freeroll qualifiers no longer qualify for tournament dollars only extra wins via cash qualifiers apply. This is what the agent on chat told me.
This is not fair and is bad business practice by Party Poker. I won those two entries fair and square and had it been another player that won then Party would have paid the $200 for them to play in the main event so there really is no difference then crediting me with the $200 in tourney dollars.
After 2 days of correspondences, multiple chats, emails and their departments looking into it they basically said again to bad we will not honor it. One agent tried to offer me $10 lol - like that would really make up for $200
I was a daily player at Party but due to this situation they will no longer have my business. Some of you readers might have been lucky to make a few bucks off me haha as I took the remaining balance in my account and basically gave it away at a higher stakes table so I could bring my balance to zero.
To me it's not about money it's about good business practices. I won the tournament and I should be credited with the win. Simple as that! - Stars will have my business now moving forward.
Be careful fellow grinders!
